Isaiah Clark (Fort Zumwalt South): A 6’5″ forward who has stepped up and become an impact player for the Bulldogs, who are currently 10-3 in what was supposed to be a year of retooling. He has good quickness and athleticism to operate in the post and he is skilled enough to operate effectively on the high post. He also has a quick jump to hit the offensive boards well. He is currently averaging 12.8 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting 48 percent from the field.
Pierre Smith (Ruskin): The talented guard was terrific at the William Jewell Classic over the holidays as he averaged nearly 20 points and seven rebounds a game to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The athletic lefty is a dynamic performer who can make electric plays at both ends of the floor. He has the speed and handles to break down defenders off the dribble and he can knock down 3-pointers. He is also excellent in the open court and he can create his own transition opportunities with his ball hawking on the defensive end.
Patrick Origliasso (DeSmet): A 6’7″ forward who has done of good job of providing consistent play inside for a 9-3 Spartans team that is built around several talented perimeter players. He is a very solid post player who is a dependable scorer and rebounder. He establishes a nice base when he gets his position in the lane and he uses the glass well to finish around the basket. He also rebounds well at both ends of the court. He is currently averaging 10.2 points and 7.3 rebounds a game while shooting 63 percent from the field.
Lucas Martin (Knob Noster): A 6’2″ guard who has the ability to light it up from 3-point range. He had one game where he hit seven triples in one game. He can shoot it coming off screens and he can also knock it down off the dribble. He is also a solid rebounder and defender with his length. He is currently averaging 19.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and two steals a game while also shooting 38 percent from 3-pint range.
Trey Taylor Trey Taylor 5'11" | PG William Chrisman | 2024 State MO (William Chrisman): The 6’0″ guard was a key player off the bench on a district championship team as a sophomore, now he is emerging as a prime player this year. He has good quickness and he is capable of creating off the dribble. He made the All-Tournament Team as last weekend’s Kaminsky Classic in Joplin. He hit a game-winning 3-pointer in the consolation bracket. Trey is currently averaging 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists a game while shooting an impressive 47 percent from 3-point range.
Jalon Cryer (Hartville): A 6’2″ shooting guard who has emerged as one of the prime shooting threats in the SWMO area. He has excellent range that extends beyond the 3-point line. He moves well without the basketball to get himself open for the 3-point shot or on a backdoor cut for a layup. He had an early breakout performance when he scored 35 points in a victory over Neelyville in the Big River Classic. He also earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the Blue & Gold Tournament after leading the Eagles to a berth in the semifinals.
Tyler New (Worth County): The great Tony Osburn may have graduated from Mound City, but there are still some talented small-school players in Northwest Missouri who are putting up big numbers. One of them is New, a high-scoring guard who is currently averaging 26 points a game. He plays with a lot of get up and go as he will take the rebound and go into attack mode. He is also a resourceful scorer around the basket who can make 3-pointers.
