Continue ReadingChase Tyler Chase Tyler 6’4″ | SG Hiram | 2024 State GA had a big night on Saturday against Pacelli and continues to prove that he’s one of the top players in this class. Tyler came out firing, knocking down 3 three-pointers in the first 3 minutes and scoring 16 points in the 1st half. He’s a skilled scorer that can handle it and get to the rim as well. In addition to Tyler’s basketball talent, he’s got god-given athleticism that most of us only dream of. He’s frequently above the rim, pinning layups against the glass or throwing down dunks. Tyler is a big-time football prospect and will likely have opportunities to play either or both sports in college. Georgia Tech was in attendance for his game on Saturday.
Moses Hipps Moses Hipps 6’4″ | SG AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ lit it up on Saturday, finishing with a game-high 25 points that all came in the 1st three quarters as McEachern defeated King’s Ridge handedly. Hipps is one of the top shooters in the state and proved it by hitting 6 three-pointers on the night. He’s a smooth ball-handler and will become tougher inside as his body starts to fill out. He’s already got good height and length so it’s only a matter of time before he’s passing the high-major eye test. His offer list currently includes Rice, Washington, Pitt, Rutgers, & more.
The development of Akai Fleming Akai Fleming 6’4″ | SG Osborne | 2025 State #44 Nation GA is really something to marvel at and he’s beginning to look like one of the top players in this class. He’s a big, skilled guard that can score from 3 levels and play multiple positions along the perimeter. Fleming finished with 20 points in a 70-65 win over Creekside Christian and converted the and-1 with 20 seconds left to go up by 5. When Osborne could slow things down and get into their half court offense, Fleming scored it well for them and generated a lot of offense. Currently holds offers from Georgia, Cincinnati, Alabama, & more.
Joseph Reddick
Joseph Reddick
Joseph Reddick filled the stat sheet on Saturday, finishing with 27 points in a 5-point loss to Osborne. In the first half, Reddick was getting it done around the paint on putbacks or tough finishes. Several times, he just found holes in the defense and exploited them for easy layups. Later in the game, Reddick stepped out to the perimeter and scored it well from there too. He’s got an unorthodox shooting motion but it seems to work for him and he hit 3 triples in the 2nd half. I think Creekside Christian surprised a lot of people on Saturday and Reddick was a big reason why.

Cedric Taylor Cedric Taylor 6’6″ | SF Drew Charter | 2023 State GA was one of the most enticing young prospects that I saw all day and had a lot of scouts and coaches asking around about him on the baseline. He’s a big, long sophomore that’s gone very much under-the-radar to this point but should be a popular name pretty soon. He finished with 10 points on 3 dunks but left the game in the 4th quarter with an injury. In the pick and roll, Taylor was effective and has a good sense for timing and the space around him. He blocked a couple of shots on defense but has a ton of potential to grow into a dominant rim protector. Hopefully I’ll see Taylor a bit over the spring and summer and I look forward to tracking his development in coming years.
