Ezekiel Avit Ezekiel Avit 6'3" | SF Churchill | 2023 MD | Churchill (MD) ’23
Despite suffering a recent loss to a very good Whitman team, Churchill is one of the top teams in MoCo as expected. Avit continues to play a huge part in their success.
Thomas Batties | Gonzaga (DC) ’23
Batties and the Eagles are currently the area’s top-ranked squad. They have a balanced attack with multiple guys that can hurt you on a given night.
Cameron Cole Cameron Cole 6'4" | PG Highland | 2023 State VA | Highland (VA) ’23
Cole and the Hawks are off to a 14-2 start this year. They’ve quietly been one of the better teams in the DMV.
Rob Dockery Rob Dockery 6'6" | SF Jackson-Reed | 2024 #128 Nation MD | Jackson-Reed (DC) ’24
Dockery has led the Tigers to a 15-3 start with some significantly important wins along the way. The recent Texas A&M commit is looking like a safe bet to be on the real list come the season’s end.
Cameron Gillus | Sidwell Friends (DC) ’23
Gillus is another virtual lock given his importance to the Quakers, who are a top-10 team in our power rankings. Look for him to bring his A-game in that upcoming matchup with Jackson-Reed.
DeShawn Harris-Smith DeShawn Harris-Smith 6'5" | SF Paul VI | 2023 State #53 Nation VA | Paul VI (VA) ’23
Harris-Smith has been a dynamic threat all season long for the Panthers, who are definitely in the top tier of teams in all of high school basketball. The Terps are getting a good one.
Greg Jones Greg Jones 6'5" | SF Hayfield | 2023 State #258 Nation VA | Hayfield (VA) ’23
Hayfield still has all its goals in sight despite suffering its first loss of the season in a respectable fashion to Jackson-Reed. Jones remains a vital key to their success.
Malik Mack Malik Mack 6'0" | PG St. John’s | 2023 State #260 Nation MD | St. John’s (DC) ’23
Mack has helped orchestrate 15 straight wins to start the season for the Cadets. You couldn’t ask for a better way to start a senior campaign.
Tyler Perkins Tyler Perkins 6'4" | SG Landon | 2023 State #268 Nation MD | Landon (MD) ’23
As expected, the Bears are much improved this season, with Perkins widely considered one of the more dangerous players in the area. With conference play set to heat up, expect him to continue garnering a lot of attention from opposing teams.
Jeremiah Quigley Jeremiah Quigley 5'9" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD | Bishop McNamara (DC) ’23
McNamara has just 4 losses on the season, with Quigley being one of their primary contributors. He’s one of a few Mustangs vying for a spot on this list.
