The Westminster Academy Lions have had a loaded schedule in the 2022-2023 season, having played in the Sunshine Series at the City of Palms last month, along with the Arby’s Classic in Kingsport, Tennessee and now they will be making an appearance at the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament.
Westminster Academy will open up their Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament run on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. against the host Montverde Academy Eagles.
The 6-4 sophomore is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 19.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season for the Lions. Lloyd has been contributing on both ends of the floor, as he can score at all three levels. Lloyd currently holds offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State and Miami.
The 6-7 freshman has had a dynamic season scoring and rebounding, as he is averaging 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Lions. Constanza has been a three-tool player for the Lions and makes it difficult for defenders to stay in front of him with his frame and skillset for his size.
The 6-6 sophomore has a solid frame and can a variety of positions while on the floor. Wimbley is a prolific shooter from beyond the arc, shooting at a 48 percent rate. Wimbley is averaging 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game this season for the Lions. Wimbley holds offers from Chicago State, Florida State and Samford so far.
The James Madison University signee is a walking double-double, averaging 14.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. Over the course of the season so far, Carey has learned to expand his range on the floor and has become a reliable threat in the mid-range. Carey has a current streak of five straight games recording a double-double.
