Continue ReadingBurroughs has steadily risen his stock his senior season. It started in the offseason at team camps and he has parlayed his play into a strong start. While Will is definitely on the smaller side, his dynamic offense makes up for his lack of height. He has quickness with the ball and sees the floor well, but it is his outside shot that really separates him. He’s a very good shooter off the dribble, knocking down pull-up jumpers from the mid-range and beyond. Will tallied 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in a 59-58 win at Warner Robins, sinking three three-pointers and pair of mid-range shots.

Chandler Thomas Chandler Thomas 6’3″ | SF Veterans | 2024 State GA brings his explosiveness from the football field to make an impact on the hardwood. Thomas is a very good leaper that plays above the rim. He scored all 12 of his points in the first half, throwing down a pair of dunks as he attacked the hoop. Thomas can hit the mid-range jumper enough to make defenses respect it. Although Chandler didn’t score in the second half, he was able to provide key minutes with his effort on the glass and defensively. He tallied 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
The near 7-footer fouled out with 2:06 remaining to play, but he got his money’s worth posting 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Jones was a pest on the offensive glass, using his elite length to secure rebounds over the smaller Demons. He did well when scoring through contact, converting two And-1s. Giving up bulk against Isaiah Gibson, Jones did a nice job managing to hold his ground and alter any shot attempts up close.
Highlights
Perkins stepped on the gas in the second half, dumping in 17 of his game-high 21 points including 10 points in the fourth quarter. The lefty controls the flow of the game well and is able to beat pressure with a compact handle. Perkins thrived at getting to the rim when the game was on the line, hitting tough floaters with defenders draped all over him. He opened his night with two pull-up jumpers but battled foul issues in the first half. Cam has long been one of the best guards in Middle Georgia and one of the better playmakers the 2024 class has to offer.
Highlights
Jay Johnson
Jay Johnson
Jermarquis Johnson has some tools to work with. The junior has nice length, standing 6-foot-3 with long arms capable of playing either the 2 or 3. Johnson impressed me with his floor game, able to fill out the box score in different ways. Offensively, he netted a baseline pull-up and scored on a pair of putbacks. Johnson routinely was able to find the open man. He finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. With another year of development, I could see Johnson popping up on some college radars.
Isaiah Gibson
Isaiah Gibson
To no surprise at all, Isaiah Gibson is a physical low post presence. Listed at 6-foot-6, 245 pounds, Gibson knows how to throw his weight around like he does on the gridiron. He’s a sturdy rebounder that has deceptively nimble feet and a quick reaction time. Giving up nearly six inches to Aaron Jones Aaron Jones 6’11” | C Veterans | 2023 State GA , Gibson was able to provide Warner Robins with some positive play inside finishing with 4 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block.
