IOWA CITY, Iowa - [player_tooltip player_id='1288867' first='Da'Shon' last='Fisher'] had that look in his eye Friday night. The Liberty High senior knew bragging rights were at stake here against rival City High.

Fisher started strong and never let up in scoring 34 points during the Lightning's 67-56 victory. Liberty completed season sweep after knocking off the Little Hawks 50-42 on Dec. 16 at home.

The senior connected on 14 of 20 shots from the floor Friday, throwing down several rim-rattling dunks. He showed again that he's efficient and explosive.

Fisher reports college opportunities from DMACC and Rock Valley. It's surprising that he isn't receiving more attention on the recruiting trail from four-year programs considering his upside. He's already a problem when penetrating to the rim, and he's shooting 34.8 percent on threes. He handles it well and is a solid defender with athleticism off the charts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1376683' first='Trey' last='Hughes'] also stood out in this game, seemingly knocking down an important shot whenever City mounted a comeback. The junior wing showed big-time range and a quick release in drilling 4 of 9 attempts from behind the arc and scoring 14. He also led his team with eight rebounds.

The Lightning boasts an impressive 1-2 punch in the paint with junior big men [player_tooltip player_id='1288908' first='Gage' last='Kampman'] and Cale Schramm. They protect the rim, rebound and pass well out of the low block.

I like Liberty's combination at point guard, too, with senior [player_tooltip player_id='1469777' first='Luke' last='Ramsey'] and Jailyn Buchanan, a junior. They stress opponents on both ends of the floor with Ramsey netting 10 points in this one.

I've enjoyed watching City freshman big man [player_tooltip player_id='1558745' first='Samuel' last='Mbingazo'] this season. He's still searching for consistency but has shown flashes of a high ceiling. He scored 11 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds in this game while also changing a lot of shots at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2325297' first='Jameer' last='James'] shined brighter than I had witnessed this season. The junior guard kept the Little Hawks in the game during the first half when he drained three-pointers on three straight possessions.

Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='1381427' first='Trey' last='Wright'] overcame early foul trouble in leading the Little Hawks with 14 points aided by 2 of 5 shooting from three. He's proven to be a steady, consistent performer throughout this campaign.

I see City senior [player_tooltip player_id='1240089' first='Shamar' last='Benton'] as a college player despite him struggling with his shot on this night. He possesses nice length and athleticism with an ability to play either guard spot. He'd benefit from improving his range to go with his penetration game.

Evan Lampe is limited on offense as a player who works at the rim on each end of the court. He plays his role very well, however, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 boards in this game. He's likely a football player at the next level but deserves more appreciation for what he brings in basketball, which is a high level of passion and energy.
