As most teams have reached the mid-point of their season, I have noticed these five players that have had multiple strong performances or had impacted games for their respective teams. They appear to be building a foundation of future success that we should take notice of, if we haven’t already.
Quinton Lomack

For me this is an exciting prospect who has not reached his potential or had the crazy high statistical performances that we have seen around the state this year. None the less Lomack impacts each and every game he plays in. He is physically stronger and/or quicker than most he’ll play against. He a dynamic passer with the ball in his hands and with that I believe he is one of the best finishers, regardless of class. in the state. Quinton is already ranked, but those that score 13.6 points a game might not get as much publicity in this year’s crazy performances. But should get more because of his tenacity on the defensive end. Currently during the summer, he plays for the Nike sponsored team Phenom, where he sets up the likes of Janowski & Knueppel.

Charlie is one of the players that has his Brookfield Central club out to an exciting 11-1 record. He is averaging a very respectful 14.5 ppg and a .386 shooting percentage beyond the ark. Having seen the prospect play a tough Wauwatosa West club. With his team trailing at the half Geske comes out to hit 5-7 3 pointers, to score his season high 23 points, and helped to assure the victory. Then against the same team, a team full of taller players, he was able to tally 7 rebounds. I believe that the way he has played this season is setting himself up for success next season as well.

Liam Lubkeman | 6’8″ | 2025 | Westosha Central
I first saw this prospect during the summer of 2022, at the prestigious camp of Crossroads Invitational. Was impressed in the way he moved around the camp. The camp which can be noted for some of the top players it can attract, and, well you can’t teach 6’8″ and above now can you. When watching Liam this season I can’t help but think of potential, I like the emerging footwork and effort in the paint. I believe his team is currently guard strong and utilizing the young big is secondary, but even with that said, Liam is paired with a young PG with some skill. As that pair develops, watch out for this Westosha Central team over the next two years.

Tyler Boesel | 6’4″ | 2024 | Wauwatosa West
This prospect will be a new name for most, but Boesel is improving at a fast pace. Before this year he was concentrating on football and/or summer baseball. As he is currently still growing the skill on the court is shining out more and more. While only scoring 5.6 points per game Tyler has had an impact on games this year. During the holiday shootout at Concordia University his team notched big wins over Kaukauna and Oshkosh North. They might not have won without his contributions. He shoots it at 45.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from the arc, so I see potential there and then he is just learning what it means to be physical also. Let’s check back in on this player often.

Drew Murphy

Murphy is a stronger wing prospect in the central part of the state. He is already on the radar of scouts, from having had a solid frosh campaign. This season he is averaging a very strong 21.4 ppg. Given space he can get his shot off from distance and in time it will be a very dangerous part of his game. He is solid when driving to the hoop and is active thorough out each game he plays. The way he plays will only draw more attention to his efforts, as the scouts take notice, this season unfolds and then his next two seasons should be interesting.
