There are 6 teams ranked in the top 20. After Monte Vista’s 57-50 upset win at home over the then #9 Spartans they became the 6th team to enter the rankings now at 14. The Spartans dropped to #15.
The Spartans jumped out to a 7-0 start looking like they were going to run away with the game. A quick timeout allowed the Mustangs to settle themselves. They hit a 3ptr coming out of the timeout, after that the Mustang pretty much established themselves to be a formidable home underdog. The game remained close with the Mustangs holding a 31-26 half-time advantage. The Spartans made a few runs to end the 3rd quarter tied at 36. The Mustangs outscored the spartans 21-14 in the 4th quarter to hang on for the 57-50 upset win at home. Here are the games top players makers.
Fields hit the long 3 after the early time-out, then comes down after a stop and hits another 3 in the corner, then is fouled coming down on the next play 1/2 FT. He wiped out the 7 point lead, added a few more buckets in the first qtr to give his team an 18-16 lead after one. He had 13 of the 18 first qtr pts, three 3ptrs. He finished with 24pts, 5rebs. He’s a St. Mary’s College commit for Baseball.

He’s PH NorCals top ranked prospect in the 2025 class. The 6’7 prospect can play positions 1-5 at this level. We saw a versatile Blair who handles, and runs the team as a point guard. He sets up in the mid-post, will face-up with a good set of moves going toward the bucket. He showed his range with a long 3ptr. He’s a skilled 6’7 guard or forward. 25pts 6rebs, 4asts, 2blks.
Kreuger a 2025 prospect is starting his second season as a starter on the varsity. He’s playing both guard spots, and is productive. He’s taking care of the ball, he sees the court to deliver good passes to cutters and shooters. He has deep 3 range and is hitting the mid-range jumper more often. He has a series of floaters, 1 foot, 2 feet he uses effectively. He made key baskets down the stretch including free throws in the 4th qtr. 12pts, 3asts, 3stls.
He’s a solid player who doesn’t mind the physical contact, at 6’5 he’s counted on to get rebounds for this team, he led with 6 rebounds in this game. He showed he could work from the mid-post, using face ups going towards the basket. He works well along the baseline hitting a corner 3, and dropping a short corner jumper. He had 9pts 6rebs.
He was the best player off the bench in this game. He gave the team a lift with his aggressive play. He rebounds, he didn’t hesitate to push it up court with solid passing. He hit a big 3ptr in the corner. He made good cuts to the basket, one for a paint jumper that went in. He had 10pts, 2-3’s, 4rebs, and a block off the bench.

He’s a long wiry prospect with a good overall skill set. He handles and moves well with the ball, he can use his length, and long strides off the dribble to get right at the rim. He has good vision to find cutters to the basket. He himself makes good cuts to the basket, and plays well off two feet in the paint. He has a good mid-post spin move. His length can cause problems. He hit a big 3, at 6’5 he played good interior defense holding his own and making them work for points in the paint. He did well filling lanes in transition, setting solid screens to free up shooters. He scored 2pts moving, and cutting to the basket. He got key rebounds. He played well in limited minutes.
He played a solid floor game, handling the ball up top at times. He showed good passing, and decision making while handling the ball. He can handle in transition, and will make the long pass up court. He moves well without the ball, and can hit the 3ptr.
