Winston Allen Winston Allen 6'5" | SF Oak Park | 2023 State MO (Oak Park): The 6’6″ 2023 forward scored 16 points in the Northmen’s victory over Hickman in the championship game. He displayed his usual strong motor at both ends of the court with excellent slashing moves to the basket and the ability to get offensive rebounds and putbacks. He did a very good job finishing at the rim. He is also a very willing and unselfish passer.
Isaiah Bonaparte Isaiah Bonaparte 5'10" | PG Hickman | 2024 State MO (Hickman): The 2024 point guard has the creative handles that enable him to break down a defender at any time to get himself a good shot. He creates good separation to get to the mid-range area and knock down the jumper. He also has a good runner in the lane. When the helps comes over, he will drop a nice dime to the open teammate.
Langston Stroupe Langston Stroupe 6'2" | SG Hickman | 2024 State MO (Hickman): A 6’1″ 2024 guard who does a little bit of everything to help his team succeed. He has good length and good defensive instincts, which enable him to be in the right position to either help or lock down his own man. He also hit a 3-pointer off the catch and he displayed some good bounce when attacking the offensive boards.
Zac Aganovic (Liberty): A 6’6″ 2024 forward who plays a very effective game from 15 feet and in. He has a nice shooting touch from the high post and he can also put the ball on the floor and score on the strong drive. His low post game is also very sound as he gets good position and he can finish with either hand very well. He has a good jump hook and he can also pass it out of the post to the open shooter.
Greg Lyles (Belton): A 5’10 2023 guard with good quickness and athletic ability. He can easily break down defenders off the dribble and he has an excellent mid range jumper. He gets to his sweet spot, which is just inside the free throw line and he elevates over defenders of any size.
Gio Mack (Belton): A 6’0 2023 point guard who can be a potent scorer and handle the playmaking duties with equal effectiveness. He can break down defenders to get his own shot and he can create opportunities for his teammates. He rebounds well from the guard position and he can start the break with no outlet pass needed.
Trey Kates (William Chrisman): A 6’4″ 2024 wing player who was lighting up from downtown in the third place game against Liberty. The long lefty hit four 3-pointers in the first half of the game. He was moving well off the flair screens and shooting in the rhythm of the catch. He also had some very effective takes to the basket when defenders closed out on him. I also like his passing ability as he put a lot of zip on them. He would hit his teammates in the shooting pocket with a crisp skip pass.
Trey Taylor Trey Taylor 5'11" | PG William Chrisman | 2024 State MO (William Chrisman): A 6’0 2024 point guard who is very elusive on the dribble with his ability to change speeds and keep defenders off balance. He freezes people with his hesitation dribble then he’s into the lane for a bucket. He’s a scoring point guard who can drop a dime or hit a 3-pointer.
Edric Binagi (Liberty): A 6’1″ 2024 wing guard who has good athleticism and an active motor. He scored 12 points in the Bluejays victory over William Chrisman in the third place game. his slashing ability was very good as he could score or draw fouls. His first step was quick and he could pull up and hit the mid-range jumper. He was also a good rebounder from the guard position.
Fernando Garcia (William Chrisman): A 6’6″ 2023 forward who displayed a pretty good skill set. He kind of waited for his opportunities, but when they came, he made the most of them. He handles the ball very well and he showed a very nice spin move off the bounce, which resulted in a 10 foot jumper that was all net. He was very effective when he was getting to the basket off the dribble.
