#BOTBFL Middle School Showcase South Edition Standouts Part 2

Here are some more standouts from Best of the Best Florida Middle School Showcase South Edition put on by Marcus McGee Basketball. These young guys had a good showing, and here they are…

Aiden Hamilton (6’0/SF/’28/Seminole MS)

Aiden had a nice day of camp as he did a great job producing from behind the arc and crashing the boards. He had some nice moments scoring the rock and showed his ability to score from deep and off the bounce. Aiden has room for improvement as a playmaker/facilitator because right now, he is wired to score the rock. He showed a lot of toughness throughout the day. 

Andre Madiwale (6’0/SF/’27/American Heritage)

Andre has good length, which helped him with his production in the paint and around the rim. He is the type of player that just seems to find ways to score. With his size, he impacts the game on both ends of the floor. I like the game-changing, two-way play that he showed throughout the camp, and I look forward to seeing his transition to the high school level.

Levitt Amador (5’0/PG/’28/Seminole MS)

Levitt is a small guard but was one of the quickest with the ball in his hands. He has end-to-end speed that helped him when attacking off the bounce, and he was attacking in straight lines and getting to the paint. He is a PG that has the ability to distribute the rock due to his vision and passing ability. He knows how to keep his scorers happy, and with another year in middle school before transitioning to high school, he has an opportunity to get in the lab and really hone his PG skills.   

Eian Solon (5’5/PG/’27)

Eian is a lead guard that is small in size but showed his ability to be a floor general. He isn’t the most explosive player and has average quickness, but his ability to orchestrate and create for his teammates was great to watch. He proved over and over that even though he is small in size, he has the ability to run the show. He uses his handles to create opportunities to get his teammates involved, and he is the type of PG that players really like playing with because he is unselfish and doesn’t mind impacting the game without having to score.  

Xavier Chase (5’7/CG/’27/Atlantic Christian Academy)

Xavier is a shifty guard with handles that hits gaps with a quick burst. He is listed as a CG but really provided production at camp as a facilitator. He is a creator that creates offense for others and for himself. He is crafty off the bounce and capitalizes on his ability to keep defenders off balance when probing and looking for gaps to attack. Xavier has nice passing and set-up abilities and showed a lot of promise as a facilitator.     

Tristan Thompson (5’10/SG/’27/St David Catholic School)

Tristan is an exciting guard to watch that has good positional size right now. As he makes his way to the next level, the game is faster, and the players are stronger and faster, but he has developing tools and size that will provide him a foundation to begin his high school career. He is a downhill attacking guard that gets to the rack and can finish and make the necessary passes to players he helped get open with his dribble penetration. There are some very good components to his game that shows the potential that Tristan has, and it will be interesting to see his transition to high school and how his game adjusts to the level of play.
