Royal is a player that gains confidence as he makes more shots. Royal is averaging 18.5 points per game and he plays with confidence, he doesn’t turn down the competition. He can create off of the dribble and has the ability to knock down threes when you need him. Royal gets his teammates involved and looks to push in transition as well. Has the ability to finish inside but is better from the free throw line out.
Levin can make you pay from three if you leave him open as he is able to catch fire quickly. Levin had a breakout game with 6 three pointers recently which shows how deadly he can be. Levin is more of a spot up shooter and knocks it down with ease when he gets into his spot. The Sun Devils like to pressure the ball and Levin is quick so when he gets out in transition it is hard to catch up as he finishes at the bucket. The Sun Devils have a nice one two punch with Levin and Royal as either can get it going in a hurry.
Hill does most of his work in the paint as he is a lengthy forward that causes mismatch problems for his defenders. He makes it hard on defenses as he is shooting it pretty well from the free throw line shooting 79%. He is not a player that is going to extend the defense by shooting threes but he is going to battle in the paint and use his athleticism to score. He is also shooting 65% from the field so he is an efficient player that works smart while he is in the paint.
Salman Ali
Salman Ali
Ali does not hesitate to make the extra pass when cutting to the basket. He tries to find the open player not forcing the shot. Ali is active on both ends of the court and is not far off from averaging a double-double as he is scoring 17.6 points per game to go with 8.4 rebounds per game. The Saints run a 1-3-1 so this gives Ali chances to play the passing lane and get easy buckets in transition. Would like to see him knock down more three point shots as this would help to force the defenders to play up so he could use his speed to blow by them
Simon Alexander
Simon Alexander
Alexander recently had a head turning performance where he dropped 27 points while adding 4 steals. He was able to hit 5 threes going 50% and went 2 for 2 from the line as well. Alexander was showing up on both ends, attacking the paint and stretching the defense out making it difficult as well. Will look for Alexander to build on this performance before the Falcons enter league play.
