An athletic 6-3 wing who attacks the rim relentlessly, Johnson transferred to Washington from Linn-Mar and has been a productive player for the Warriors, averaging 8.1 points and 6.2 rebounds a game. He uses his blend of size, length, and athleticism to get to the bucket seemingly at will for finishes.
(182) SF Ajay Six Ajay Six 6'4" | SF Washington | 2023 State IA (Washington)
Six is incredibly long, a 6-4 wing with probably a 6-8/6-9 wingspan that he uses to control the glass on both ends of the floor and impact the game on the defensive end. He’s at his best on the offensive end when he’s attacking the rim and finishing, averaging 11.8 points and 6.3 rebounds on nearly 52% shooting.
(183) SG Jackson Nemmers Jackson Nemmers 6'2" | SG North Polk | 2023 State IA (North Polk)
A 6-2 off-ball guard who can really shoot it, Nemmers is knocking down 45% of his 3-point attempts this season for the Comets. He moves well without the ball in his hands and is always ready to shoot it off the catch. He has also shown that he can be a reliable secondary ball-handler and playmaker, dishing out 2.2 assists a game.
(186) SF Ryan Strait Ryan Strait 6'3" | SF Rock Valley | 2023 State IA (Rock Valley)
Nearly everyone from last year’s 2A championship team graduated, leaving a lot of opportunities for newcomers, and Strait has taken advantage of those opportunities. The 6-3 combo forward is averaging 13.1 points and 4.9 rebounds a game while showing that he can create his own shot and score from all three levels.
(190) SF Braden West Braden West 6'5" | SF East Mills | 2023 State IA (East Mills)
West is a fantastic athlete who can defend multiple positions. He’s probably more of a “four” than a “three”, but he has shown just enough as a ball-handler, defender, and shooter that he could project out to the perimeter if he were to pursue basketball at the next level. He’s averaging 15.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks a game for the Wolverines.
(193) SF Tanner Gotto Tanner Gotto 6'4" | SF Carroll | 2023 State IA (Carroll)
A 6-4 combo forward who has shown the ability to score inside and out, Gotto is certainly better when he’s attacking the rim either off the dribble or off-ball movement, but he has a decent stroke out to the arc and has shown a little playmaking ability as well. He’s averaging 13.3 points and 4.6 rebounds a game for the Tigers.
