Following a girls game that resulted in a lopsided 77-43 victory for High Point Academy, the Grizzlies hoped to make it a clean sweep among its varsity teams on Tuesday night.    It would not be easy both High Point Academy and Southside Christian has firmly established themselves as among the class of 1A boys basketball this season across the state. Also, given it was a region matchup, Tuesday's get-together could go a long way in deciding a region champion.    A hard-fought matchup between the two teams resulted in a two-point victory for the home team as the Grizzlies eked out a 45-43 win over the Sabres. High Point Academy's record improved to 12-6 while that of Southside Christian was 10-4 following Tuesday's game.    What Happened Last Time?    The two teams have already seen each other twice at neutral-site tournaments. The Sabres defeated the Grizzlies by a final of 56-51 at a tournament at Broome HS in late November and High Point Academy earned an eleven-point, 65-54 win over Southside Christian   How Things Progressed   From start to finish, it looked as advertised on paper as a contest of two of Class 1A's premier teams. Following the first quarter, it would be the Grizzlies that would maintain a one-point, 12-11 advantage.    The back-and-forth nature of this evenly matched tilt continued into the second quarter as both High Point Academy and Southside Christian matched each other seemingly point for point. It was 23-21 as both teams entered their respective locker rooms for halftime.    Following the third stanza, it was actually the visiting Sabres with a three-point advantage as they outdid the Grizzlies 11-6 that frame. With one quarter remaining, Southside Christian pulled ahead by a margin of 32-29.    The fourth quarter was the most offensively productive frame for High Point Academy as they put 16 points on the board. The Grizzlies needed all of those 16 given the final score. Southside Christian had an opportunity on its final possession, down by two, to either tie and force overtime or go for the win. He assumes team co-captaincy duties for High Point Academy.
