The rangy and lanky wing was really showing his game as he was lighting it up from deep but he also gets to the rim with the threat of making teams pay from deep he can easily get to the rim against bad closeouts. He is a game changer to really track in the 7th grade that will likely get to 6’5 and turn into a big time combo guard next year and move on to become an immediate impact player in high school.
A lot of things to like about KJ as he was really asserting himself as a physical defender using his good footwork and high motor as he played with a sense of urgency. On offense he really gets it going attacking the perimeter and really getting his shoulders in-front of defenders and he makes it hard for them to get back to defend. When it comes to next level talent this kid is just raw and scratching the surface. His guard skills are starting to pop as he can dribble up and down the floor but also make some tough moves to the basket off of simple jabs. Going left or right is not really an issue for the big wing. The IQ is apparent as well as he is moving well without the ball. If you cheat over or try and play too much pac-line defense he will back-door and hit you on a lob. Major problem in the open floor as he can fill lanes and get to the rim or spread the floor and hit the three-ball. A true matchup problem as a hybrid 4 right now that can stretch the floor. If he did not grow anymore he would still be fine with the skills he is developing. Kid is a lanky 3/4 hooper.

With a strong bloodline of hoopers and the younger brother of a D1 Stanford hooper this kid has some potential. When you look at him as a developing big he has the height that you can’t teach and you can tell he still has some more growing to do. Look for this kid to be around 6’10 or so and in time he is going to be a force in the paint. He is tracking down blocks not but still working on the timing. Rebounding he is just bigger than most but you get some strength and more technique under his belt and we got action.
