The Sierra kids foundation provides educational scholarships to children and youth with developmental disabilities in Northern Nevada, specifically kids with autism spectrum disorder. The Sierra kids foundation helps families who are under insured, low-income, unemployed, or of low socioeconomic status pay for ABA therapy for their child who may not be able to afford a treatment program otherwise. This year’s event featured a Reno vs Northern California format, pitting schools from each area against each other. The event also featured several guys with the ability to flat-out shoot the ball. In this article, we take a look at the top Snipers from the event.
Hamill was probably the most versatile shootes at the event. He showed that he’s able to shoot the basketball in a variety of ways. He was money in catch and shoot, showing the ability to take his time and shoot the ball with an effortless stroke. He was more than efficient shooting the ball comming off screens, using pindown action to pop open for shots as well as knocking down shots coming off curls and flares.
Vargas doesn’t look like the prototypical shooter, he has a muscular upper frame, which leads you to believe he’s going to be strong on most shot attempts. To the contrary, he showed a decent stroke and was proficient from behind the line knocking down three trey’s in the two games I saw.
You have to talk about Stojakovic being one of the best shooters in America. When he got his feet set it was automatic. He uses his entire body in his shot, using a deep leg bend, to help him launch from distance. He was best in catch and shoot action, but he also made a few, using a rythm dribble to create a little space before knocking home a deep Jumper.
Highlights
Rowe was tremendous, this weekend showing a skill that I had know clue he even had. He was one of the best snipers on the weekend, and put on quite a performance in a tough battle against Vacaville. The sophmore guard made everything, using a high arching release to burry 5 three’s in the second half of a thrilling game against Vacaville.

Jones teamed with Stojakovic to form one of the best shooting backcourts at the event. The senior sniper was able to help Jesuit space the floor with his three point shooting ability. He buried home 3 trey’s in the game against Damonte Ranch, en route to finishing with 11 total for the game.
