The Mountainside Tournament (Oregon City over West Salem, Camas over Mountainside) and the Forest Grove Tournament (North Salem over Aloha, Forest Grove over Lakeridge).
From all that action, here’s a look a the top performers from the sophomore and freshman Classes of 2025 and 2026 this past week:
Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2025 Mountainside)
Big week for Boe, first with 24 points against Lincoln and then another 16 and 23 in the Mountainside Tournament against West Salem and Camas. The 6-foot-4 guard has settled into playing at the point, and carefully measures up the defense before making his move – using his strength to get to the basket where he can either score through or around his opponent, or finding open teammates for scores. Boe’s step-back fade-away mid-range shot is practically unblockable and has become his go-to move.
Jalen Atkins Jalen Atkins 6'2" | SG Barlow | 2025 State OR (2025 Barlow)
After a very rough opening day game against Beaverton, Atkins was able to find his shot against Wells and was knocking down shots from the mid-range out past three-point range. The way the physique of the 6-foot-2 sophomore has changed over the off-season has allowed him to get to spots quicker yet his shooting touch has not changed. He finished with a team-high 22 points against Wells.
Mason Bierbrauer Mason Bierbrauer 6'6" | PF Barlow | 2025 State OR (2025 Barlow)
Bierbrauer is looking to be a double-double threat every time he steps out on the floor. The 6-foot-5 forward not only is extremely mobile but has the athleticism and length to not only grab boards, but immediately take it down the floor and initiate transition opportunities. Against Wells, he hit shots from the perimeter, created off of the dribble, and finished at the rim to the tune of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Nolan Hudgins Nolan Hudgins 6'0" | SG Forest Grove | 2025 State OR (2025 Forest Grove)
Hudgins has the reputation as a shooter – and rightfully so – but what we saw out of the sophomore guard was a grittiness and a willingness to compete not just on the perimeter. He was getting buckets inside, fighting for rebounds, and getting after it defensively, definitely earning his minutes on the basketball floor.
Andwele Bridges Andwele Bridges 6'0" | PG Forest Grove | 2026 State OR (2026 Forest Grove)
We first spotted Bridges at a Forest Grove practice and were immediately impressed with his outside shooting touch. The freshman guard was able to show that by hitting a couple of jumpers, but we were also impressed with his overall floor game and handle. He earned plenty of minutes on the floor which is always a good indication of how much trust he’s earned from the coaching staff.
