Yates led the Panthers even in a losing effort against a senior heavy Fairmont team. The 6’0 guard slashed and was able to get penetration against the Firebirds and got to the free throw line with his attacks. Yates has a ton of athleticism and utilizes that with his speed off the dribble to really lead the Panthers offense.
Tyler Gentile
Tyler Gentile
Gentile continues to show why he is one of the best hustle guys in Dayton. Plays with a high motor and outplays a lot of guys that have more athleticism. Plays longer than he is and disrupts passing lanes and physical enough to challenge for rebounds. Understands proper spacing and keeps the floor balanced while leading the offense.
Kaiser didn’t score a ton of points against Fenwick and their stout defense, but he showed why he’s one of the better PGs in the 2024 class. Confident handle with either hands and can’t be forced one way or another. Controls the ball and keeps a tight handle. Doesn’t allow the game to be sped up on him and has good awareness of the floor and his teammates.
Highlights
D.J. Brown
D.J. Brown
Brown had a double-double in the win over Carroll and was fantastic for the Falcons on both ends of the floor. Has plenty of bounce and attacks the glass with a purpose. Combines his vertical leaps with high energy on the offensive side of the ball. Has some areas he can improve, but Brown is a nice secondary option for the Falcons on the perimeter.
