Players finally get the chance to show the skill set they have and to play against tough competition. Here is a look at some guards who may be a little under the radar, but are sure to make a huge impact on their team this season.
It’s easy to say that Danser can guard any position. Whether that is outside the perimeter or inside the paint, he is there no matter what. He is able to switch off of ball screens or guard straight up. Also, he is able to fight inside for position in order to get the rebound. His shooting is effortless as well. He can score from mid-range or shoot the three. If he continues to improve this season, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
Jenkins is great at controlling the offense. When in control, he is either looking for his shot or trying to get his teammates involved. He sets the tempo for the game and is really shifty with the ball in his hands. He can get to the rim or step out side to shoot. His defense on the perimeter is spot on. He is able to move with his lateral quickness to stay in front of his man.

Isaac is a maestro when the ball is in his hands. His mid-range pull up is quick, and when that is not there, he does not hesitate at taking the ball to the basket. He comes off of ball screens looking for his wide open teammates or can pull back out to restart the offense. In transition, he is great about finding the open spots on the floor where he can operate. On defense, he uses his length well to keep his man outside and does not make it easy for his man to to pass the ball.
Cam Blevins

Blevins is an absolute hustler. Whether that is getting the ball up the court or running back on defense to stop an easy transition lay-up, Blevins is there all the time. He plays with a sure tenacity on defense and is always looking for a way to get the ball away from his opponent. On the offensive side, he lets his game come to him. He does not try to force anything and will shoot the right shot when given the chance.

Light is a great off-the-catch shooter. He can knock it down from a couple of steps outside of the ark or hit the mid-range. He also does not mind getting physical when going inside to grab a rebound. He can position himself well in order to take control of the glass on possessions. When being pressed, he does not rush and let the defense get the best of him. Instead, he is patient and is smart when finding the right pass.
