That was the criteria for being in this article of some of the best shooters in the state that I have seen. These are just a few of the snipers enrolled in sniper school…
Kamran DeRamus (6’3/G|F/’23/Prattville HS)

Kameron is an athletic wing that thrives in transition and flying high, finishing at the rim. He is a big-time scorer who can get it done in a variety of ways. He has his toolbox full of tools and puts them on display, keeping defenders guessing. He can knock down the trey ball off the bounce and in c&s opportunities. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 4-3’s.
Chase Bell (6’4/SG/’23/Sparkman HS)

Chase is a scoring wing with good positional size. He can score the rock at all levels and is a threat from all areas of the floor. He is a strong finisher at the rim, as he is often in attack mode. Just as potent as he is off the bounce, he is just as potent from behind the arc. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 3-3’s.
Trayton Berger (6’1/SG/’23/Sparkman HS)

Trayton is on the court to get the job done from behind the arc. Shooting the trey ball is the strength of his game, and he excels at it. He is efficient from the arc, whether off the bounce or in c&s opportunities. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 3-3’s.
Dontrell Smith (6’0/SG/’23/Florence HS)

Twitter: @Dontrel58651823
Dontrell showed a nice middle game and his ability to knock down the trey ball. He can really score the rock and is a threat with the rock in his hands and in c&s opportunities. As the third scoring option on his squad, he can fill it up. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 3-3’s.
Lee Garcia Lee Garcia 6'4" | SG Buckhorn | 2026 State AL (6’4/SG/’26/Hazel Green)

There isn’t much to say about Lee’s game, except he can flat-out shoot the rock from distance. He is a primary c&s guy that specializes in knocking down the trey ball, and he is a player that makes it very hard for defenders to help off him. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 4-3’s.
Khani Chilufya Khani Chilufya 6'2" | SG Bob Jones | 2023 State AL (6’2/SG/’23/Bob Jones HS)

Twitter: @4c.khani
Khani is a guard that can score from multiple levels. He is more than just a c&s shooter as he can score off the bounce in the paint and knock down the trey ball off the bounce and in c&s opportunities. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 3-3’s.
Ian Johnigan Ian Johnigan 6'0" | SG Helena | 2024 State AL (6’2/SG/’24/Helena HS)

Twitter: @IanJohnigan2024
Ian is a stout guard who was terrific, stroking it from behind the arc. I have not seen anyone shoot it the way he did the night I saw him. He moves well without the ball, gets his feet set, and has a quick release on the catch. He also rebounded the ball well. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 7-3’s.
Dalvin Dawson Dalvin Dawson 5'10" | PG Midfield HS | 2023 State AL (5’11/SG/’23/Midfield)

One of the most under-the-radar shooters that I have seen is Dalvin. I say that because when people have talked about the best shooters in the state, his name is seldom mentioned, but Dalvin can absolutely fill it up from behind the arc. He needs very little space to get his shot off and is lethal when the ball touches his hands. In the game I saw him, he knocked down 9-3’s.
