Dean Coleman-Newsome Dean Coleman-Newsome 6'2" | PG Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State PA – 6’2” / Archbishop Carroll / Gibbs Elite / Combo Guard: Coleman-Newsome’s versatility has really shone through early on. He has scored at all three levels, facilitated for teammates, and at times played bully ball. In the opener “DCN” posted 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 steals. He followed that with 26 points, 8 boards and 7 dimes in win over West Philly.
Duce Jackson Duce Jackson 6'6" | SF Collegium Charter | 2023 State PA – 6’6” / Collegium Charter / 610 City / Small Forward: With Dinero Washington being ruled ineligible by the PIAA, Jackson has become the go-to scoring option for Collegium. Jackson responded with a huge double-double (21 point and 10 rebounds) vs. Mast Charter. Next Jackson posted 11points and 4 rebounds against WC East. Jackson’s ability to shoot / score over double teams is unique.
Jake Kapp Jake Kapp 6'3" | SF Boyertown | 2023 State PA – 6’3” / Boyertown / Eastern PA Elite / Small Forward: This versatile wing/forward can score via interior post ups and face ups as well as from behind the arc. In Boyertown’s win over Antietam, Kapp recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals. He then poured in 26 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in win over VFMA.
Andrew Phillips Andrew Phillips 6'3" | SF Malvern Prep | 2023 State PA – 6’4” / Malvern Prep / Gibbs Elite / Wing: Last month we highlighted Phillips as a favorite to win Inter-Ac POY award. Early this season he has made us look like Nostradamus with games of 28, 22 and 14 points. Phillips is a physical prospect (200+ lbs.) who has played through contact on the interior. He has also run on the perimeter where he has drained threes.
Ben Rodner-Tims – 6’0″ / Bishop Shanahan / Chesco Storm / Combo Guard: Rodner-Tims is a guard who gets downhill quickly for lay-ins. He can sprinkle in jumpers as well. That combination produced a 34-point outburst in Shanahan’s win over WC Rustin. For an undersized guard, he can score through contact too.
Aris Rodriguez Aris Rodriguez 6'6" | SG Reading | 2023 State PA – 6’5″ / Reading / Reading KTB / Shooting Guard: Aris appears ready to fill the running mate role for Reading standout Ruben Rodriguez Ruben Rodriguez 6'2" | PG Reading | 2023 State PA (1st Team All-State; Rider commit). Aris pumped in 30 points in Reading’s opening win over Central York. Then he notched 12 points as Reading defeated JP McCaskey and 13 points in their victory over Cardinal O’Hara. Aris is a remarkable athlete who exceled in transition and was tenacious defender in Reading’s two wins.
Deywilk Tavarez Deywilk Tavarez 6'2" | CG Academy of New Church | 2023 State PA – 6’2″ / Academy of New Church / Philly Pride National / Combo Guard: A now healthy Tavarez is a scary thing for SEPA foes. His athleticism, versatility and deep bag make him extremely difficult to guard. He opened the season with this ridiculous stat line – 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 steals – in win over SCHA. For an encore Tavarez dropped 25 points and snagged 8 boards in Reading’s W over McDonogh. He polished off this opening stretch of stelar play with 26 oints and 9 rebounds in ANC’s win against Haverford School.
