Below is a review of six SEPA 2024s who have come flying out of the gates to open the 2022-23 high school season. Hopefully, these impressive early performances are grabbing the attention of college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187956' first='Aasim' last='Burton'] – 6'2” / Cardinal O'Hara / [program_tooltip program_id='2078692' first='Philly' last='Ballhawks'] / Combo Guard: Burton's speed, athleticism and scoring have been a natural fit for O'Hara's extreme up-tempo style. Still, it is Burton's high percentage 3-point shooting that has been a pleasant surprise. “Flash” recently posted 14 points vs. perennial state tourney contender Reading, and then 20 points (4 threes) vs. Haverford School.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279636' first='Bahsil' last='Laster'] – 6'4” / Academy of New Church / We R1 / Wing: Laster is a slasher style athlete who thrives in transition (scoring and distributing). In the half court he can get to the rim off the dribble. Plus, Laster owns a filthy stop and pop game. His 2022-23 season already includes games of 20 points, 16 points (and 7 rebounds) as well as 12 points on three separate occasions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850322' first='Jeremiah' last='Lee'] – 6'3” / Abington / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] Select / Shooting Guard: A long and wiry athlete, Lee is comfortable shooting from behind the arc or driving into the paint and scoring through contact. In addition to supplying points for the Ghosts, Lee is doing a terrific job as one of the team's primary ball handlers. His 25-points (4 threes) and 12 rebounds effort vs. Upper Dublin really turned heads. Additionally, Lee has a 21-point (3 triples) game on his resume so far this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1190330' first='Pearse' last='McGuinn'] – 6'7” / Cardinal O'Hara / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Shooting Guard: McGuinn continues to be a 3-point ace who can shoot over any defender, but early on he has also flashed a new interior game. His ability to pin down smaller defenders and then score with either hand is a surprising development. Included in his stellar play this month was a 19-point performance vs. ACCHS, 18points vs. Sankofa Freedom Academy and a 15-point effort against 6A power Reading

[player_tooltip player_id='1123922' first='Ty' last='Mishock'] – 6'0'' / Devon Prep / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Combo Guard: For the last two years Mishock has built a reputation as a deadeye 3-point shooter who never gets rattled. Those assets remain intact, but so far in 2022-23 Mishock has also exceled as a primary ball handler for DP. He is using dribble drives to score at the rim and facilitate for others. Recently Mishock recorded games of 23 points and 6 assists as well as 18 points, 9 dimes and 8 boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589403' first='Julian' last='Sadler'] – 6'2″ / Perkiomen Valley / Prim3 Tim3 / Combo Guard: We named Sadler as one of this past summer's biggest 2024 stock risers, and he continues to make us look smart. He is a lightening quick and versatile guard who gets buckets at all 3-levels. He opened the season with a scorching 27-point performance and has not looked back. Through six games he is averaging 22 ppg. on the strength of two made threes per night.
