SubscribeREDONDO BEACH — The annual Ryse Williams Pac Shores event was back to being a must-stop on the SoCal high school basketball recruiting scene with Reggie Morris, Jr. back in the fold as the head coach at Redondo Union. Some of the region’s best teams, and players, took the floor throughout the showcase and we were there for Saturday’s action.
Marcus Adams, Jr.

, Jr., Narbonne
Adams has emerged as one of the top prospects in the state regardless of class and his performance in a 47-39 win over St. Monica. The 6-foot-8 swingman scored 31 of his team’s 49 points, pulled down 18 rebounds, and as you can see based on his stats, controlled the game from start to finish. Adams is one of the more skilled wings in the class and his abundance of confidence, combined with being a high IQ basketball player, make him a top priority for high major programs.
Maurice Wright Maurice Wright 6'2" | CG Santa Clarita Christian | 2023 State CA-S , St. Paul
It seems like we’ve been covering Wright for six-plus years now because of how many events we’ve seen him in and he continues to impress. The 6-foot-1 combo guard is a strong and athletic scorer who thrives in transition where he uses those traits to elevate over and finish through contact. Wright, a senior, also flashed his shot-making and playmaking abilities in a 72-68 overtime win over Long Beach Jordan.
Tajh Ariza, St. Bernard
Ariza continues to impress with his smooth scoring arsenal – and his confidence in his own game continues to grow, as well. The 6-foot-6 wing is stepping into deep three-point shots and knocking them down, putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket with authority and showing that he has some good instincts and basketball IQ on the defensive end of the floor. The freshman scored 16 points in St. Bernard’s win over Long Beach Poly.
Trent Perry Trent Perry 6'3" | PG Harvard-Westlake | 2024 State #98 Nation CA-S , Harvard-Westlake
Perry put together an effective performance in a big time game Saturday night against Rancho Christian. The 6-foot-3 point guard has developed his skill-set from elite shooter to elite shooter, playmaker and game manager. The junior scored 21 points and made key decisions and plays down the stretch to lead Harvard-Westlake to a 63-52 win over fellow Open Division-hopeful, Rancho Christian.

The best way to describe Rolison is he’s simply a gamer. The 6-foot point guard can always be counted on to bring intensity, toughness and fearlessness to the court to go along with his ability to score in bunches and create havoc on the defensive end with his speed and anticipation. The unsigned senior – who likely won’t be for much longer – scored 18 points in St. Bernard’s win over Long Beach Poly.
