Jaylen Godwin (5'8" | Texas High)

The Texas High senior had it on automatic during the contest Saturday night. His five threes were one of the key factors in his team pulling out the win. His 16 second half points consisted of 4 triples. He made three of them during the Texas Tigers crucial 4th quarter surge. Godwin is a very good ballhandler and pushes the pace most of the time. His shooting mixed with his ability to drive should help Texas High as the season progresses.

Colby O'glee (5'11" | Airline)

The Viking point guard has a good showing at Texas High during the Hoopfest. He has an Airline high of 16 which consisted of one three with a lot of layups and mid-range shots mixed in. O'glee was very good at probing the lane and finding cutters and shooters on the perimeter for layups and open jumpers. His game showed the maturity of his game and ability to find others. This will be big for the Vikings going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543691' first='Tyris' last='Crowell'] (6'7" | Texas High)

Crowell showed the people in attendance during the Red River Hoopfest that he is going to be one of the best players in his class. The versatility of his game on both ends shined like a bright light during their win. Crowell made three three point shots on his way to 17 points, blocked three shots, and was very good on the boards when it came to rebounding. He is as versatile as they come and is a player to watch in the 2026 class in Texas.

Jeremiyah Stafford (6'3" | Airline)

During the Red River Hoopfest, Jeremiyah was a player who played his role to the utmost of his ability. He scored nine points and had two steals doing what he does best, rim runs in transition and defend the paint as best as he could. His points were scored from making himself available during drives and his use of his leaping ability to finish at the rim. He also has good hands and catches everything thrown his way. Stafford may be undersized to play the paint but he is very useful when he is there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1105538' first='Trevon' last='Jackson'] (6'0" | Airline)

Jackson scored 11 points against Texas in the various ways he scores during other games. He displayed his multi-level scoring ability by nailing the corner three and scoring going to the cup. Jackson knows how to take contact from the football field and did not let it effect him at the Red River Hoopfest. Even though his versatile scoring did not help the Vikings win, it displayed how dangerous he is on the floor.

Texas High and Airline have several talented players. Both teams should benefit from the experience of playing one another and it should help them as their season goes on.
