Chester defeated Coatesville 69-64 in a game that was played at a breakneck pace and featured outstanding performances from two of the top 2024 guards in the region.
Below is a look at a few of the college prospects who took the court during the Chester vs. Coatesville contest.
Chester
Dante Atkinson – 5’10” / Junior / Team RHJ / Combo Guard: Atkinson (8 pts.) recently returned from injury, but he did not look rusty last night. This junior is an excellent shooter with textbook mechanics who provides a nice third scoring option for the Clippers. Atkinson is a tremendous on-ball defender as well.
Terrence Cobb – 6’1” / Senior / Chester / Prim3 Tim3 / Combo Guard: Cobb’s recent stretch of outstanding play (games of 33 and 24 points last week) continued last night. Cobb thrives in Chester’s legendary transition game. Plus, he can hit jumpers from all over the court, including from behind the arc. Cobb knocked home a series of FTs to ice this game and posted 14 points overall.
Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6'5" | PF Chester | 2024 State PA – 6’5” / Junior / Power Forward: This athletic and thick big man is a major DI college football recruit, but it appears he could play college hoops too. Toy does a fantastic job of scoring via his work on the offensive glass. He possesses solid instincts too, so he is always in position to receive a drop pass for a lay-in. At the other Toy provides the rim protection and rebounding that triggers Chester’s fast breaks.
Kyree Womack Kyree Womack 6'1" | PG Bonner-Prendergast | 2024 State PA – 5”11 / Junior / We R1 / Point Guard: Despite recording 13 points in the first half, Womack’s play was a bit inconsistent. However, he settled down in the 3rd quarter and simply dominated the 2nd half of this game. Womack scored at all 3-levels, facilitated for teammates, and played tremendous defense. Most importantly he found the right tempo for Chester’s transition game which was chaotic at times in the 1st half. Womack ended with 24 points, but that total does not come close to reflecting the major impact he had on this contest.
Coatesville
Amon Fowlkes Amon Fowlkes 5'8" | CG Coatesville | 2025 State PA – 5’10” / Sophomore / 610 City / Combo Guard: It was a quiet night for Fowlkes from a scoring standpoint (2 pts.), especially because we know this kid can fill it up from behind the arc. Still, his next level quickness and superb defensive skills were on display all night.
Zuri Harris Zuri Harris 5'11" | CG Coatesville | 2024 State PA – 5’11” / Junior / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: Harris is a multi-skilled stat book stuffer. In this contest he scored the rock from numerous spots, dropped dimes, rebounded well, and played pressure defense. Harris netted 14 points, but it was his energy and tenacity that really grabbed our attention.
Dior Kennedy Dior Kennedy 6'2" | CG Coatesville | 2024 State PA – 6’3” / Junior / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: Kennedy is nearly automatic from deep. As a bonus, he owns tight and creative handles that enable him to navigate through defenders on his way to the rim. His stop-and-pop game is extraordinary. He scored 21 points last night, 15 of them coming in second half. The Harris and Kennedy duo is a backcourt to watch going forward.
Jeremiah Marshall – 6’3” / Senior / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: His length and well-rounded skill set makes Marshall an extremely attractive college prospect. He can handle the ball, shoot 3s, get buckets off the dribble, play above the rim, distribute to teammates, and guard multiple positions. His composure is also noteworthy. Marshall scored 19 points against Chester.
