Barron Scheetz Barron Scheetz 6'4" | PF Hardin Valley Academy | 2025 State TN entered the event as a power forward, and he acquitted himself well at that position. Strong shoulders/chest. Importantly, Scheetz showed off a little outside range, suggesting he might be able to play as a small forward someday.
His limiting factor, like most tall players, will be lateral mobility. Can he keep a darting wing from penetrating when matched up 18′ from the rim? It is a daunting task, and the answer currently is no. We measured him at nearly 6-foot-5, and this measurement will elevate him above his peers during many in-person evaluations. Of the timed tests (sprint, lane agility). Barron sparkled greatly in the forward sprint. His times (3.02, 3.08) ranked favorably with the other forwards and wings in attendance. The translation of his sprint success is obvious; Barron will always be capable of running the floor for his guards. Within this particular season, Barron will be able to help best facing up 8′ and in. He can hit free throws well. His shooting touch is nice. Helping on switches out high is not advised this year, though long-term it is possible with extra plyometric training. In general, Scheetz needs to improve his explosion vertically and figure out ways (dribbling) to integrate his soft shooting touch into offensive sets.

NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2022 Rockets Ja’Sean Tate
The future is bright, even more so than the present. C.C. played with an uncommon hunger Sunday afternoon. Often C.C. played with the downhill purpose of a running back. He hit his holes with burst and consistently earned his way into the lane and to the blocks.
The biggest criticism of Smith’s game is of his shot selection. Smith took far too many challenged three-point shots. Several of these shots resembled buzzer-beaters, as they appeared hurried and forced.
C.C. does not lack the athleticism or the ability to be a volume scorer, and frankly he is a bucket getter now. Still, recruiters will likely be turned off by the low-percentage shots embedded in his offensive attack. Discovering what is and what is not a quality shot is integral to Smith unlocking his full potential.
Fantastic natural and developed strength.
