Every Monday of the high school basketball season we will release our Prep Hoops Indiana Class-by-Class Rankings as well statewide “unclassed” rankings. With five weeks in the books, let’s dive on in to how things shake out to begin week six. Also, from all of us here at Prep Hoops Indiana, Merry Christmas!!!

#10
Again, until somebody in Class 1A beats Evansville Christian (or at least a weaker 2A or 3A team), there is no reason to move them off of #1. All they do is keep solidifying their top spot actually. They’ve now beat Loogootee twice this season and a loss over 2A #1 Blackhawk Christian is certainly not something worthy of punishment. The Eagles are the best Class 1A team in the state.
It is tough to move Loogootee down because all they did was lose to, at the time, 2A #1 Brownstown and 1A #1 Evansville Christian last week. However, Bloomfield keeps winning and is very good in their own right. Those two are a toss-up right now for the #2 spot, but Bloomfield earned it with another win.
Fountain Central climbed two more spots to #6 as they remained undefeated at 7-0.

#9
Blackhawk Christian defeated Brownstown Central 68-56 down at the Bobcat of Daviess County Classic last week. However, it is only fair to mention a couple of qualifiers. Brownstown was without two starters including Purdue commit Benter. It is a little unfair to move them down, but Blackhawk has played well enough to deserve a run at #1.
Carroll (Flora) takes a hit falling to #9 after their 78-66 loss to Wabash. Dropping four spots is more of a reflection of how competitive Class 2A is than a true indictment of Cougars.
Providence got knocked off by Evansville Memorial but hangs in at #10. They have a big game coming up just after the New Year against 10-0 Southwestern (Hanover).

Well, that was easy. Every team in the Week 5 Prep Hoops Indiana Class 3A Poll either won, or had their game(s) postponed last week, so the Top 10 remains exactly how it was.

9. Kokomo

10. Center Grove

#10
No changes in the Top 3 as Ben Davis, Cathedral, and Penn all either won or did not play. The Giants, along with Class 1A Southwestern (Hanover) are the only 10-win teams in the state at this point.
Zionsville leap-frogged a couple of teams after knocking off previously #4 ranked Kokomo last week. The Eagles three losses come to teams ranked ahead of them: Ben Davis, Penn, and Carmel.
Center Grove holds on to the #10 spot while remaining undefeated, but fellow unbeaten Hammond Central is starting to really nip at their heels due to some impressive victories.
