It was 3 days of nonstop action in front of tons of college coaches and NBA scouts, and the amount of next level players in the event is second to none.
We’ll take a look at some of the many standouts from the event over the next week. Here’s a look at part six of the top players from the New England teams in attendance.
Kur Teng Kur Teng 6'4" | SG Bradford Christian | 2024 State #37 Nation NLG | 6’4” WG | Bradford Christian 2024
Teng already is recognized as one of the top wings in the New England regardless of class, and he was fantastic for Bradford Christian in their 1-1 showing with a win over First Love and a loss to IMG. The 6’4” wing is a knock down shooter from deep with great form and a quick release, he’s a good athlete who can get downhill and is a strong finisher around the rim and he can score the ball from all over the floor. He averaged 22 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game in their two games.
Isaac Bonilla Isaac Bonilla 6'0" | SG Bradford Christian | 2023 State NLG | 6’1” CG | Bradford Christian 2023
The Maine commit was absolutely fantastic for BC in their win over First Love, as he shot the basketball extremely well and was a difference maker across the board. He’s effective playing on or off the basketball as he can work to get open and can create off the bounce, he has a smooth game that looks effortless and he made very little mistakes in that win. He finished that game with 23 points going 7-for-9 from deep and handling the basketball quite a bit as well.
George Turkson George Turkson 6'8" | PF Bradford Christian | 2024 State #123 Nation NLG | 6’8” PF | Bradford Christian 2024
Turkson is a very intriguing prospect with a lot of long term potential that we’ve seen over the past few years, and he’s starting to put it all together and more and more college coaches are starting to take notice. The 6’8” forward is a natural athlete with a great frame that will translate nicely to the next level, he is able to play and guard multiple positions with his lateral quickness and overall skillset and he just continues to get better and more consistent with time. He 14.5 points and 8 rebounds per game in their two games.
TJ Power TJ Power 6'8" | SF Worcester Academy | 2023 State #56 Nation NLG | 6’8” PF | Worcester Academy 2023
The Duke commit was one of the most anticipated prospects that people wanted to watch after his big summer with BABC, and he didn’t disappoint as the 6’8” forward showed why he became one of the most recruited prospects this summer. At 6’8” he has a lot of tools that make him such an impressive college prospect as he moves well for his size, he’s extremely comfortable on the perimeter with his ability to shoot it and make plays for others and he rebounds very well on both ends of the floor. He finished their only game, a win over Mount Zion, with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 5-for-8 from deep.
Tre Norman Tre Norman 6'3" | CG Worcester Academy (MA) | 2023 State #174 Nation NLG | 6’3” CG | Worcester Academy 2023
For the second straight year, a Marquette commit was absolutely fantastic in this event, as Norman showed why he was one of the top scorers on the EYBL last year and will have Golden Eagles fans very excited about the future. The 6’3” combo guard is a strong downhill attacking guard who can play through contact, he can create space off the bounce to make tough shots from multiple levels and he’s a good playmaker with good vision and passing ability. He finished with 22 points and 6 assists in their win over Mount Zion.
Kayvaughn Mulready | 6’6” F | Worcester Academy 2024
One of my favorite players in the entire event, Mulready is a jack-of-all-trades forward who can play almost any position his team needs him to and is productive in every role you can think of. At 6’6” he’s strong and athletic and is able to play in the paint against players bigger than him, he’s explosive off of one or two feet and uses that athleticism to finish around the rim and rebound, he can make plays for others on the ball and he plays with a fantastic motor on both ends of the floor. He was huge for them in their win over Mount Zion, going for 23 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
