Lima Shawnee beat Thurgood Marshall 58-45. St Vincent St Mary’s beat Cincinnati Princeton 64-56 and the Lima Senior beat Dayton Dubar 73-71. This article will talk about the new names I found at this event.
Now when anyone plays for Coach Q’s Lima Senior team as a freshman you have to know the kid is a good player but to start as a freshman, now you’re special. Unfortunately, Addy did get in foul trouble in this game so I wasn’t able to see his full display of what he could bring to the table but what I did see I liked. He is a very fast point guard that can outrun everyone in transition with the ball. Has a really good ability to finish in transition. He plays hard. Has really good length to him. I expect Addy to be a very good player.
Kyevi Roane
Kyevi Roane
Roane plays at one smooth speed. He has a great pace in his game. He can play this way and is effective. He is always in the right spot for kick-outs and is a knockdown shooter. He did a good job of running the Tygers’ offense and distributing the rock. He never did anything too flashy but his fundamentals were great. He is only a sophomore and I’m excited to see how he develops over the next two years because he is a skilled player that has some good potential.
Webb is a knockdown shooter. As pure of s jumper shot as they come. This kid has great confidence and is willing to shoot the ball from where. It is easy to have confidence when you have unlimited range on your jump shot like Webb does. When he catches in rhythm with no hesitation around his jumper the ball is going in the rim. He did show some immaturity in his game when the Hawks turned the defensive pressure he did not respond the best but he is only a sophomore and I expect he will soon be able to handle it.
Nathaniel Haney
Nathaniel Haney
Haney has one speed and it’s fast. He is a very fast player and even though he plays so fast he always seems to be in control. He flies around the court defensively and offensively. He creates turnovers and disrupted the other teams’ offensive rhythm. On offense, this kid is a very good slasher. Gets to the basket consistently because not many can stay in front of him. He usually also gets there before the help defense can as well.
