Here are the top five takeaways from the Manasquan-Ranney game.
1. Griffin Linstra Griffin Linstra 6'5" | CG Manasquan | 2025 State NJ showed his ability to be a difference-maker at both ends of the floor
Linstra finished off the game with a career-high 20 points as he was aggressive from the start. The 6’4 guard was able to get to the basket and finished nicely around the rim. Linstra used his handle to create for himself and teammates and knocked down open jumpers from behind the arc. He defended 94-feet throughout the game and fought for rebounds at both ends of the floor. Linstra did a little bit of everything for the Warriors last night, which he should continue to do throughout the course of the season.
2. Ryan Frauenheim Ryan Frauenheim 5'10" | PG Manasquan | 2024 State NJ can be Manasquan’s secondary scorer
Frauenheim was magnificent as he poured in a career-high 29 points with 22 of them coming in the second half. The 5’10 guard was lethal from behind the arc as he drilled six three-pointers and made almost every open jumper he had. Frauenheim did more than just shoot as he was able to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. He ran the offense efficiently as he was rarely rattled by on-ball pressure. Darius Adams Darius Adams 6'4" | SG La Lumiere | 2025 #32 Nation IN is Manasquan’s go-to guy and Frauenheim showed his ability to be the secondary scorer the Warriors need to make a deep run in the postseason.
3. Andrew Buck Andrew Buck 6'3" | SG Ranney School | 2024 State NJ ‘s stock is on the rise
Buck started the game out on fire as he nailed three triples in the opening quarter and continued his strong play throughout the game. The 6’2 guard played with confidence with the ball in his hands and was unafraid of drawing contact around the rim. Buck moved well without the ball in his hands and played unselfish basketball. He worked hard on the glass and made plays on the defensive end. Buck has started his season on fire, which has risen his stock in a big way.
4. Isaac Hester Isaac Hester 6'0" | PG Ranney School | 2023 State NJ is Ranney’s driving force on offense
Hester had his second straight 20-point game for the Panthers to start the 2022-23 season as he made plays for them on the offensive end. The 6’0 guard pushed the tempo in transition as he was aggressive in the open floor and showed good body control around the rim. Hester was able to get to his spot on the floor and rose up nicely on his jumper. He was able to grab rebounds on the defensive end and played good defense throughout the game. Hester is a scoring lead guard that should continue to put up big numbers for Ranney this season.
5. Manasquan’s bigs controlled the game down low
Quinn Peters Quinn Peters 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2023 State NJ and Alex Konov Alex Konov 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ were the two biggest players on the court and their impact was felt throughout the game. The former was almost impossible to box out at he was active on the glass and created second chance opportunities for the Warriors. Peters was able to get position down low and showed off a nice touch around the basket. Konov moved well without the ball in his hands and held his ground on the defensive end. Manasquan’s big men will be pivotal as they look to win a sectional title for the second straight season.
