Robinson was the best guard on the floor and showed superior ballhandling skills and excellent decision making ability. He was the unquestioned leader for the Lions and sliced apart the East Side guards in route to victory. Louisville is getting a good one.

Pullock was lights out from deep on offense and also did the job defensively. He’s a scholarship level prospect proving it against top shelf competition for IC. More performances like this should see serious interest and offers line up. He doesn’t need a prep year. He needs an offer. Where are you, NJIT? Donde Estas FDU? Gdzie Jest Wagner?(Yes, we know lots of languages here!)–Regional D1s are asleep at the wheel on this one.
Kole Grandison | 6’6″ | F | 2026 Too Early
Grandison was the best player on the floor. That includes Robinson. He was smart, heady, knew how to slow the game down, facilitates exceptionally well for a big man—and when you realize this was his third varsity basketball game and it was against Newark East Side–It all looks that much better. This young man has the potential to be an elite level recruit.
Newark East Side
Quatrell Wilson Quatrell Wilson 6'5" | SF Newark East Side | 2023 State NJ | 6’6′” | F | 2023 AVAILABLE
Wilson wasn’t factored into the offensive sets that frequently but when he was he finished well around the rim and moved the ball well. His guards were throwing passes a little too low for him to be instantly effective and that’s something that can improve as a team–Get the ball to the bigs at a higher point—Wilson is a college player and a scholarship prospect if he has a strong senior year. He had 20 yesterday.
David Ekhelar David Ekhelar 6'8" | C Newark East Side | 2025 State NJ | 6’7″ | F | 2025 Too Early
Ekhelar came off the bench to get big minutes as the Raiders made a second half push and battled in the post at both ends. Tough rebounder and a nice, soft touch on his shot and from the FT line. Coaches Garvin and Tavares have a good one here.
Alesi Mingo | 6’1″ | G | 2024
Mingo didn’t score….but he did the most important thing for the East Side backcourt. He brought the ball up against pressure in a calm manner against an elite D1 guard and did so while minimizing traps and turnovers. He was confident and deliberate with his moves–protected the ball well–He was the brightest surprise of the afternoon.
