Here are a few of the players that will be showcasing their talent at the event…
Chase McCarty Chase McCarty 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2024 State #71 Nation FL (6’6/SG/Westminster Christian Academy)

If you have not heard about Chase and plan on attending the classic, you are in for a treat. You will see a future Power 5 player that is picking up offers from some of the most notable high-major teams in the country. He is a big-body scorer that can carry his team to a victory. He has good positional size and can get it done inside and out. He is not the quickest off the bounce, but he understands how to get to his spots with minimum amounts of dribble, and once he is in his sweet zones, it is bucket time. Chase routinely makes the kind of shots that demoralize a defense and is one of the best that you will see when it comes to making tough shots.
Ty Davis Ty Davis 6'5" | SG Mountain Brook | 2024 State #191 Nation AL (6’3/CG/Mountain Brook HS)
Instagram: tydfor3
Twitter: @tydavis_3
Ty is one of, if not the best three-point shooters in the state. He is a combo guard that has a great balance between scoring and facilitating. When at the lead guard spot, he has complete control of the offense and what the Mountain Brook system demands. He has grown into a playmaker off the bounce, which makes it very hard for defenders to contain him. He is a 10-eye player, as all eyes of the defense must be on him at all times. He has evolved his three-point prowess beyond just c&s opportunities to now being able to knock down the trey off the bounce and with range. He has the reins of his squad, and he is fully capable of leading his team to a deep playoff run and possibly the championship of the #HuntsvilleCityClassic.
Alec Elkins Alec Elkins 5'9" | SG Lucy Beckham | 2024 #46 Nation SC (6’4/CG/’24/Baker HS)

LaBaron comes in as the #1 ranked scorer in the nation, according to maxpreps.com. Labaron by himself is a hot ticket, and you can rest assured that people will come out to witness him in action and let me say that it is well worth the ticket. He is a potent and prolific scorer who can score at all levels and in all types of ways. He has a very mature game for a 2024 kid. As much of a juggernaut scorer as he is, he is also a player that gets his teammates involved. He is one of the best iso scorers in the nation, as he puts his defenders on ice with pump fakes, footwork, and his quickness off the bounce. A lot has been said about Labaron, and the conclusion of the matter is this, if you have not seen him in action, you need to be at the #HuntsvilleClassic.
Ja’Mari Arnold (5’10/Combo Guard/Huntsville HS)
Instagram: manman_._

Ja’Mari has had a slow start to the season when it comes to many in the media. Many people have different reasons for the struggles, but I believe that Ja’Mari will find his footing and live up to the expectations surrounding him. One thing is for sure, Huntsville needs the impact that he brings on both ends of the floor if they plan on making it to Birmingham. No one leaves their presence on the floor like Ja’Mari does, and if Huntsville is going to compete for the championship of the #HuntsvilleCityClassic, Ja’Mari will have to come into form and have the impact like he did last year in the classic.
Caleb Holt (6’5/Shooting Guard/2026/Buckhorn HS)

What else can be said about the #1-ranked player in the 2026 class in the state? He is extremely impressive, using his skills and physical gifts to destroy defenders. He is a potent scorer with a great feel and understanding of the game. He gets it done in isolation, pick-and-roll, spot-up, and post-up opportunities, and he is the epitome of what we call a bucket-getter. What I love about Caleb is that every time I see him, he is better than before, which is a testament to his dedication to his craft when no one is watching. He is one of the best playmakers that will take the floor in the classic.

John Broom John Broom 6'5" | SG Jacksonville | 2023 State AL (6’5/Forward/’ 23/Jacksonville HS)

John is the #2-ranked player in the 2023 class in our Prep Hoops Alabama rankings. He has had a strong start to the season, yet it seems like it has all been under the radar. Not much talk has been given to the Jacksonville squad, which is crazy when you think they are the favorite to repeat as the 4A State Champs. John is showing his ability to put up huge numbers consistently night in and night out. Maybe Jacksonville has been able to fly under the radar with the departure of Cade Phillips Cade Phillips 6'8" | PF Jacksonville | 2023 AL , but with the exit, John has had to elevate his game to another level. He is the primary scoring option. John is showing that he can do it all on the offensive end of the floor and be an elite defender on the defensive end. Look for Jacksonville to compete for the championship in the #HunsvilleCityClassic, and Mr. Broom is a big reason why.
