Game Report: Tampa Catholic 78, SLAM Academy 64

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Wednesday night, the Kevin Knox II Fieldhouse made it's debut as the Tampa Catholic Crusaders played their first home game in two years. The Crusaders (2-1) hosted the Sports Leadership &amp; Management Spartans (0-2) where the Crusaders came out victorious, 78-64. It was a back and forth opening quarter as both teams exchanged leads on a few occasions. After the first eight minutes of play it was the [player_tooltip player_id='1055721' first='Ramone' last='Seals'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1055791' first='Karter' last='Knox'] show as they battled it out to see who is the best junior in the Tampa Bay area. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tampa Catholic ended the first half on a 8-2 run to take a 38-32 lead heading into the locker room. In the second half, the Crusaders started to pull away beginning the quarter on a 6-0 run. However, SLAM Academy would not go away quietly as they made a run of their own to end the third quarter trailing 58-52. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Unofficially Knox led the Crusaders with 24 points in the win. The Spartans were led by junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1055721' first='Ramone' last='Seals'] finishing with a game-high 28 points. SLAM Academy returns to action on Friday night, where they'll travel to Punta Gorda and face a tough Charlotte Tarpons squad.
