At State, we fell 0-3 and finished 8th, but it was a great milestone for the 4 seniors who helped build this program into a consistent winner. This year sees the return of 3 key players from last year's state tournament team, along with several upperclassmen ready to take on an expanded role on varsity and several freshmen who are talented young players. Along with the graduation of 4-year starters from last year's team, we will also deal with playing without our 3-year starting point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1391635' first='Connor' last='Epp'], who made the All-Tournament Team at State last year and was primed for a big senior season — Connor tore his ACL this offseason and his return to play date may fall during the season, depending on the speed of his recovery. While this is a big loss for us, it opens the door for other players to step up and fill a larger role on the team. With our game today, we'll have played 3 games over the last week or so and had only 1 full team practice!
