Thanksgiving Week I ran all around the city to many events. I attended the Sunnyslope Hoopsgiving Tournament at Deer Valley, Hilcrest Prep vs Over Time Elite, Millennium Nike Tournament, Fear the Hop at Mesa, Welcome to the Jungle at Gilbert and Black Hawk Thanksgiving Classic at Williams Field.

Here were some of the players who saw their stock go up:

[player_tooltip player_id='1334752' first='Caden' last='Bass'] Peoria

A long scoring guard with deep three point range who has great size. He looks an inch taller, and to go along with his length, he plays the passing lanes well and is rebounding better. He has a nice first step to get passed his defender and will float it in over the defenders. He also sees the court well and makes good decisions with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494969' first='Owen' last='Bell'] ALA-Gilbert North

A good sized forward is active around the basket. He can block shots and rebound with his length and athleticism. He plays well off the pick and roll game and will slip to the basket for two. He can step out and shoot it from the perimeter with a soft touch. He plays the 4-5 for this team but has the fluidity of a bigger wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1239570' first='Khalil' last='O'Bannon'] Tucson (Pictured)

A long and skinny athletic wing has a lot to like. He is graceful running the court like a track star. The lefty likes to get closest to the rim to score. He springs up quickly to rebound or block a shot. He will shadow most defenders with his lateral quickness and speed. He plays the passing lanes well to collect steals as he may of had five open court steals. His defensive pressure truly bothered the talented San Tan guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1159406' first='Kaden' last='Garber'] Chandler

A two-way combo guard has range on his shooting. His on-ball defense definitely caught my eye. He has a stronger upper body and good lateral quicks to keep opponents in front of him. He rebounds well for a guard and will push the ball and find teammates. He has good body control to score in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136424' first='Jacoby' last='Brown'] McClintock

A scoring guard uses his thicker frame to get downhill to score. He can catch and shoot from the three and rattle them off quickly with real range. He is improving his passing skills and he is a fearless attacker to the rim with hard drives and euros through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354946' first='Shakur' last='Davis'] McClintock

A combo guard is handling the ball more and scoring from the perimeter. He is getting better driving it with his stronger upper body. He has some shift to his handle and uses his thick frame to get downhill. His range on his three point shooting is improving.

[player_tooltip player_id='1483884' first='Taimari' last='Jones'] McClintock

A long power forward has good hands to catch tough passes inside. He is a fluid defender in space and will grab rebounds out of his area, but his perimeter defense helps the Chargers. He is a quick second jumper to block shots or grab boards. He is an efficient scorer closest to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1421588' first='Dwayne' last='Jones'] Valley Vista

A thicker wing forward is improving. DJ has clearly become their top scorer next to Isai. He has a deep three, he can fall away from ten feet and he can take the ball to the basket with his sturdy frame. He will rebound and block shots for his undersized team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1132004' first='Davis' last='Hester'] Liberty

A true 3 and D type showed what he can do. His on-ball defense and three point shooting shined through versus Chaparral. Hester can rise up and shoot it from mid to the three point line. His handle is a little tighter, he is more athletic and he has a stronger upper body.

[player_tooltip player_id='996174' first='Bo' last='Dolinsek'] Corona del Sol

An inside and out forward who can shoot it from the three point line plus works well in the paint. He has a polished hook shot with a nice touch. His hook is definitely becoming his weapon of choice. He moves better then last year in space and he is becoming their top go-to scorer.
