Prep Hoops Florida scouts Josh Cutler, Riley Sheppard and Ross Van De Griek took in the action. Here is the All-Tournament team from this year’s event.
The 6-2 senior point guard and Duke University commit took complete control in their opening round game against Winter Haven. McCain erupted for 29 points, on 11-of-17 shooting from the field and added 7 rebounds in front of his future coach Jon Scheyer in attendance. McCain played under complete control and poise.
The 6-0 senior point guard was scoring with the best of them at the City of Palms Classic. In 2 games so far, Nowell averaged 18.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. His highlight performance occurred in the semifinal game against Wheeler (Georgia) where he finished with 21 points and 6 rebounds, as well as going 8-for-10 from the free throw line down the stretch. Nowell has received offers from Auburn, Kansas, Memphis and Tennessee.
The Maryland Terrapin commit was electrifying to watch at the City of Palms Classic keeping Paul VI (Virginia) in the game last night vs Columbus. He finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in last night’s 57-55 semifinal loss. Paul VI (Virginia) will face Wheeler (Georgia) in the 3rd Place Game tonight at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU.
The top ranked sophomore in the nation proved why he is there. So far in 2 games at the City of Palms Classic, Boozer is averaging 18.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. In the quarterfinals, Boozer finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds in a 65-56 win over Myers Park (North Carolina). He followed that in the semifinals with a 17 point and 11 rebound performance in a 57-55 win over Paul VI (Virginia). Columbus will face Imhotep Charter (Pennsylvania) tonight at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU for the City of Palms Championship.

In 2 games at the City of Palms Classic, The USC commit averaged 18.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, coming off a 20 point, 6 rebound and 5 assist performance in last night’s 61-52 semifinal loss to Imhotep Charter (Pennsylvania). Wheeler (Georgia) will face Paul VI (Virginia) in the 3rd Place Game at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU.
