3 Players
Highlights
You can hardly say that there is a better wing in northern Indiana than Farrall. The Bentley University commit has had a real good start to the season and like it was expected, he is the leading scorer for his Culver Academy squad. He has all the elite physical tools you need on the wing and just an elite scorer all-around. He and Culver Academy travel to Fort Wayne Northrop (12/6) and host Lafayette Central Catholic (12/9) this week.
Highlights
Moving on to southern Indiana we have Brandon Walters, who is the definition of a point-forward. As part of the “Big 3” on Linton-Stockton along with Logan Webb Logan Webb 6'3" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State IN and Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN , Walters provides a lot of versatility for the Miners and could make a case as their best defensive players overall. If he can work on scoring the ball a lot more than what he does, that could really take his game to that next level. He and Linton-Stockton will travel to Mitchell (12/9) then have a neutral site meeting with Cooper (KY) on 12/10 this week.
How good has top 2025 prospect Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN been this year so far? Every game this year he has high double-digit scoring outputs and has been Fishers best player by a long shot. Fishers has had a rocky start thus far in the season with a 3-2 start but Haralson has been the one constant for the Tigers. He is one of the highest sought after players in the 2025 class for a reason. Big games coming up this week as he and Fishers play Sectional 8 rival Carmel on 12/6 and then a tough Bloomington North team at the Southport Tip Off on Saturday.
3 Teams
Brownsburg (4A): The Bulldogs might be the hottest team in 4A so far this season. They have beaten every team by at least 10+ points this year and their star junior Kanon Catchings Kanon Catchings 6'8" | PF Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #31 Nation GA has played extremely well. The junior class at Brownsburg is the class that gets a lot o praise and hype but senior guard Elhadj Diallo Elhadj Diallo 6'2" | SG Brownsburg | 2023 State IN has been one of the leaders for them. This will be a challenging week for the Bulldogs as they host Pike (12/9) and travel to Chesterton (12/10) this week. If they can win both of these games, it might be time to think of Brownsburg as one of the favorites in Class 4A.
NorthWood (3A): The No.1 team in 3A took their first surprising loss of the season losing to Beech Grove this past Saturday at Sneakers For Santa. While Beech Grove is the reining 3A champs, they are not the same as a season ago so it was surprising to see this talented NorthWood team lose. This week provides a great chance to bounce back for Cade Brenner Cade Brenner 6'3" | SG NorthWood | 2023 State IN and company as they host 2A Westview on 12/8 hen travel to 3A Fairfield on 12/10. Look for both Ian Raasch Ian Raasch 6'6" | PF NorthWood | 2023 State IN and Tyler Raasch Tyler Raasch 6'8" | C NorthWood | 2025 State IN to have big games this week.
Orleans (1A): Orleans is our second “Bulldog” team to featured on this preview and rightfully so because they have been great so far this year. At 3-0 at the moment, Orleans has beaten Crothersville, Springs Valley, and Barr-Reeve. They have a young squad but are always tough and well-coached. Should see them improve to 4-0 on the year as they play at Northeast Dubois on 10/9. Lookout for the Bulldogs come Sectional time.
3 Matchups
Lawrence Central (4A) at Lawrence North (4A) – Dec. 7th, 7:30 pm: This game looks a lot different than it did a week ago but hey, it is still a huge rivalry game. Just a few days ago, Lawrence Central star Kamari Jones Kamari Jones 6'4" | SG Lawrence Centra (IN) / Hilcrest Prep (AZ) | 2023 IN announced that he would be transferring to a prep school out in Arizona, which really hurt this Bears team. Guys like DaJohn Craig DaJohn Craig 6'1" | PG Lawrence Central | 2023 State IN , Bryson Luter Bryson Luter 6'0" | SG Lawrence Central | 2024 IN , and others are now forced to step up for Lawrence Central. With Jones no longer there, Lawrence North has the big edge here and Lawrence Central does not have the guys to stop either Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State #88 Nation IN nor Kobi Bowles Kobi Bowles 6'2" | PG Lawrence North | 2024 State IN . It is a rivalry so anything can happen, but Lawrence North is the pick here.
Greensburg (3A) at Triton Central (2A) – Dec. 9th, 7:30 pm: This is a interesting southern Indiana showdown here with the Greensburg Pirates traveling to Triton Central on Friday. In their respective classes, both can make a case as one of the top teams. Both are undefeated so far this year, as well. Greensburg has a great senior backcourt of Ki Dyer Ki Dyer 6'1" | SG Greensburg | 2023 State IN and Jeter Edwards Jeter Edwards 6'2" | PG Greensburg | 2023 IN as well junior forward Addison Barnes-Pettit Addison Barnes-Pettit 6'4" | SF Greensburg | 2024 State IN . Triton Central will have their hands full here, which is why I am going with Greenburg to get the road win here.
Southport Tip Off – Dec. 10th, Noon: The annual Southport Forum Tip Off takes place on Saturday and it is a loaded lineup like always. Players that will be in this one include Jaylen Mullen Jaylen Mullen 6'0" | PG North Daviess | 2023 State IN (North Daviess), Dhani Flannigan Dhani Flannigan 5'10" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State IN (Franklin Central), Luke McBride Luke McBride 6'1" | PG Norwell | 2023 State IN (Norwell), Anthony Dancler Anthony Dancler 6'2" | SG Southport | 2023 State IN (Southport), Nickens Lemba Nickens Lemba 6'6" | PF Southport | 2023 State IN (Southport), Keyon Garrett-Miller Keyon Garrett-Miller 6'1" | PG Southport | 2023 State IN (Southport), A.J. Lux A.J. Lux 6'3" | SG Crown Point | 2023 State IN (Crown Point), Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN (Fishers), JaQulaon Roberts (Bloomington North), Logan Imes Logan Imes 6'4" | PG Zionsville | 2023 State #202 Nation IN (Zionsville), Nick Richart Nick Richart 6'9" | PF Zionsville | 2023 State IN (Zionsville), Markus Burton Markus Burton 5'11" | PG Penn | 2023 State #190 Nation IN (Penn), Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN (Ben Davis), Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN (Cathedral), and so much more.
