Here, I wanted to take a closer look a players ranked 31-50 and see which of these players could jump higher and who could have big seasons for their team.
Michael is a player who I watched live a couple times over the summer and he impressed me quite a bit. He was a leader on the court with a Mount Vernon team that has other guards who can score at will. Johnson attacks the rim with force, knowing how to use his body to his advantage to finish athletically around the rim. He’s going to continue to grow his game in the aspects needed.
This sophomore is going to have a massive sophomore year with a change of scenery. Nash has been off to a great start with Mead HS, including a huge performance against his old school, Mount Spokane. He gets to the rim nicely, having a quick first step. He finishes through traffic well, absorbing contact while in the paint. I’m excited to watch his growth for this year and beyond.
Grant has a lot of upside on the court. It’s only the beginning for this sophomore and he has a ton of talent surrounding him to help out. Grant is a confident player and backs it up with his play. Lanier knows how to read defenses and knows what lanes to attack. His movement around the court is great, he is always moving around. He hits the three well, uses screens effectively, and finishes through contact at the hoop.
Jace is a nice finisher at the rim and makes some nice passes as well. He plays a nice guard role at Camas this season alongside Beckett Currie Beckett Currie 6’0″ | PG Camas | 2025 State WA and has the ability to explode scoring the ball. Vanvoorhis is an exciting player to watch going forward. He plays with a lot of confidence, not being scared to shoot the ball. He pushes the ball with intention, going all the way as well as being able to make quick dump-off passes if the defender steps up late.
