The Garden State hoops season is up and running as the first week of the season is over. Transfers happen every season and they have the potential to help teams make big runs in postseason play, especially in the 2024 class. Here are the 2024 public school transfers to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547457' first='Kabrien' last='Goss'], 5'6 PG Trenton Central

The Tornadoes will be one of the top teams in Group 4 this season and will be even better when Goss becomes eligible. The Solebury School transfer is a blur in the open floor as opponents struggle to keep him out of the lane. Goss is a crafty finisher around the basket and is unafraid of contact. He threads passes to open teammates and plays with quick hands on defense. Goss is a speedy floor general who makes plays with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547459' first='Jahaan' last='Green'], 6'3 SG Camden Eastside

The Tigers are looking to repeat as South Jersey Group 3 champions and Green has the potential to be a key part of their attack. The Kingsway transfer has a good first step, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the rim. Green knows how to get to his spot on the floor and rises up with confidence on his jumper. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Green is a lanky, two-way wing who will be one to watch all season for Camden Eastside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1156892' first='Devyn' last='Wright-Myles'], 6'3 SG Hamilton West

The Hornets have the potential to make a deep run in the postseason, especially with the addition of Wright-Myles. The Trenton Catholic transfer explodes off the floor for dunks and is unafraid of drawing contact around the rim. Wright-Myles moves well without the ball in his hands and has an underrated handle. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Wright-Myles is an athletic guard prospect who will make plays for Hamilton West on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1407079' first='Ka'Juan' last='Gee'], 6'0 PG Paterson Charter

The Lions lost a lot from last season's Group 1 winning squad and the addition of Gee will help in a big way. The Manchester Regional transfer has a good handle, which he uses to get to basket and finish around the rim. Gee moves well without the ball in his hands and has a nice release on his jumper. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. Gee's ability to make plays at both ends of the floor is something that will be key to Paterson Charter's success this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1456823' first='Alex' last='Woodring'], 6'9 C Ramapo

The Raiders are one of the top public school teams in the state and the addition of Woodring only strengthens them. The St. Peter's Prep transfer has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to get position down low. Woodring sets good screens in the half court and rolls hard to the basket. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to influence shots on the defensive end. Woodring's presence in the post will be key for Ramapo as the Raiders look to take home the Group 3 title.
