Season Preview: The Preseason All-state Team for Class 3A

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Class 3A installment in our preseason all-state team series has a number of players who were state champions or made it to Marsh Madness last season. Madison Prep and Wossman, who have played for the 3A title numerous times, have representation on the first and second teams. These 3A preseason teams also have a ton of high quality players representing various portions of the state. With that said, let us take a look at the players who make up the preseason Class 3A team in Louisiana.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>*All players listed on both teams are in alphabetical order.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>First Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218216' first='Jayce' last='Depron'] (Madison Prep / 6'3")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381596' first='Ronneal' last='Harold'] (Amite / 6'6")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='970124' first='Juvian' last='Keys'] (Wossman / 6'2")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='970130' first='Courtney' last='McCarthy'] (Richwood / 6'5")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273359' first='Elliot' last='McQuillan'] (Port Allen / 6'2")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This five may be the same list that the Louisiana sportswriters have at the end of the season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218216' first='Jayce' last='Depron']</strong> is one of the top guards/wings in the state. He has a chance to be one of the better players Madison Prep has had in recent history. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='970130' first='Courtney' last='McCarthy']</strong> is a scoring and rebounding machine from NE Louisiana. He plays in one of the toughest districts in the state and still has a chance to put up big numbers. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273359' first='Elliot' last='McQuillan']</strong> is coming off of a most outstanding player award in the Class 2A and had a good showing in summer showcases. He is up for a big season in Class 3A. Speaking of big summers, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381596' first='Ronneal' last='Harold']</strong> had an impressive one on the Prep Hoops Circuit. His play should propel him to a first time showing as he helps Amite try to repeat the magic they had last year. Wossman has <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='970124' first='Juvian' last='Keys']</strong> for a full season and that should help them challenge for the 3A title. Keys is one of the best two way players in the state and probably the best on in north Louisiana. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Second Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1213597' first='Kamron' last='Coleman'] (Wossman / 6'7")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130735' first='Rictavion' last='Johnson'] (Carroll / 5'11")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218215' first='Aries' last='Lewis'] (Port Allen / 6'6")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273398' first='Cardez' last='Norman'] (Sterlington / 6'6")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1471643' first='Simeon' last='Powell'] (Amite / 5'11")</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The second team is full of players that should be difference makers in Class 3A this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130735' first='Rictavion' last='Johnson']</strong> is one of the dynamic point guard scorers in the Boot. He is a guard who is as tough as they come and will help lead Carroll this season. <strong>Kamren Coleman</strong> is a shot blocker who has improved each year offensively. He should be a big part of the Wossman Wildcat success this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218215' first='Aries' last='Lewis']</strong> is a dynamic wing who can score inside and defend almost every position on the floor. His offense and defense will be paramount in Port Allen's success as they move to 3A. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273398' first='Cardez' last='Norman']</strong> is primed and prepped for a big season after the way he performed on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He should help Sterlington make the playoffs this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1471643' first='Simeon' last='Powell']</strong> was an all-state team member last season and should be again this year in Class 3A. He will definitely be one of the top point guards in the class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Class 3A will be a battle on the non-select side while select play will be more of a melding of numerous classes.
