William is a special prospect due to his ability to defend any position on the floor with his length and quick feet. I have always loved the intensity and tenacity he brings to the defensive end of the floor, but where he really makes his mark is on the offensive end of the floor. He is long and showed a strong ability to create offense as a screener. He is aware at when to slip the screen or even pop and create out of the high post. He has all the tools and on court awareness to initiate offense and displayed a strong handle in the full court. He is an aware passer with two feet in the paint, he easily picked defenses apart by recognizing when and where the help defense is coming from. He is a strong player out of the triple threat, and can operate out of it at all three levels, or with his back to the basket.
Gur Dhillon Gur Dhillon 6'6" | PF Addison Trinity Christian | 2024 State TX 2024 6’6 Trinity Christian Academy
Gur has really developed his handle and feel for the offensive end of the floor over the summer, showing off his versatility and how well he can put the ball on the floor or use his size to dominate you with his back to the basket. I was very impressed with his ability to put the ball on the floor and get out of the triple threat. He dominates with his bunny hooks and up and unders. He is a strong finisher in the paint and utilizes his length to outreach opponents. He always runs the floor for easy opportunities if he is not battling for a board down low. I was very impressed by how well he showed off his ability to score from the perimeter, knocking down shots well off the catch from the corners and wings but also getting into the mid-range and calmly rising up over his opponent.
Kenny Atunrase 2024 6’4 San Antonio Cole High School
Kenny is a do it all forward who is tasked with being his teams center, and uses his aggressiveness and intensity in the paint to absolutely wreak havoc. He is aware at crashing the glass and always seems to be an open option in the dump off spot underneath the rim. He is an aggressive finisher in the paint and got to the line a plethora of times with his ability to put his head down and get his shot off in the paint. On the defensive end of the floor, he actively moves his feet to seal off defenders and force them out of position. He is great at using the baseline and sideline as a second defender and uses his frame to force his opponents into the spots he wants them to be. He has all the tools to become a ball dominant wing at the next level if he shows an ability to create opportunities for his team this year. He has some high level shooters coming back with him as they look to reload before another opportunity at the title game.
Phillip Lewis Jr 2024 6’3 Mickey Leland High School
Phillip is a special prospect due to the intensity he plays the game with, but also a bruising and aggressive player who wants to leave a mark on you and the game. He knows how to dominate his opponent from all three levels of the floor. He is a consistent shooter from the perimeter, but is a bully when he is looking to get into the paint and finish at the rim. Lewis has all of the tools to become an elite offensive weapon, which pairs well with his stout ability to protect the rim and anchor his team’s defense. He is an aggressive rim protector who routinely throws shots into the stands and moves his feet over to be in seemingly every play in the paint. He is willing to slide over and protect the rim and put his body on the line.
Brandon Beard 2024 6’4 Allen High School
Brandon is a bruising forward who has skill to score from the perimeter, but is great at fighting on the interior for boards and closing defensive possessions. I was impressed by his foot speed and ability to defend guards and wings on the perimeter. Guards always think they had an advantage by bringing him out of the paint, and Beard took full advantage of that and used his quick feet and tenacity to harass ball handlers. As he continues to develop his handle and awareness on the offensive end, I think he can easily translate his game to the next level.
