Camden has quickly been rising in the Texas rankings after how he came out and put the entire state on notice leading his team to the playoffs last year during his freshman campaign. He is a sharp shooting guard who calmly gets his shot off from anywhere he wants on the court. His awareness with and without the ball is off the charts, it is not hard to see he is the son of a basketball coach. He calmly attacks spaces with his handle, and has the shiftiness and ability to turn the corner on anyone he sees in front of him. He is great out of the pick and roll, calmly operating it and creating opportunities for his rolling big man or for his shooters on the back side of the play. I am always blown away by his confidence and willingness to hunt for his own shot no matter the defense. His consistent aggression and scoring ability really propels his team to success, leading the charge with his true point guard abilities but also his willingness to play off the ball with his counter part- Kingston Flemings Kingston Flemings 6'1" | PG San Antonio Brennan | 2025 State #80 Nation TX . Brennan will be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years as these two highly skilled guards continue to develop and make each other better.
Jett McCasland Jett McCasland 5'9" | CG Argyle | 2025 TX 2025 5’10 Argyle High School
Jett had a massive summer as he really showed off his high level scoring ability, and the ease in which he can effect the game from al three levels of the floor. He is special at quickly crossing over his opponent and using that limited space to rise up and knock down shots in their face. His ability to make tough shots look rotuine is already at an incredibly high level. I love watching him take on defenders who want to crowd him, allowing him to use his shiftiness and change of speed to get to the rim where he calmly finishes over bigger opponents. He has really improved on his willingness to do the little things, such as rebound and defend at a high level since the beginning of the summer. He has also taken on the role of point guard more often, allowing him to really hone those skills. I full expect him and Argyle to shoot the laces off the ball this year!
Mayson McGrew 2025 5’11 Lubbock Cooper High School
Mayson is a confident combo guard who has all of the tools to find success on the floor with his high level basketball IQ, and how much he effected the game offensively and defensively, with and without the basketball. He scores at a very high percentage with his shot off the bounce from all three levels, hitting a few step back shots after shaking his defender. He confidently manipulated the defense with his handle and ability to pass his teammates open. He creates open looks with his aware passes, putting them one step in front of the defense and allowing his teammates to get up high percentage shots. He has a great motor, which is probably the most intriguing aspect to his game. His willingness to scrap and fight for loose balls is critical for his success at the next level, and he seems to love every aspect of it already. He fights hard on the glass for rebounds, and always has his head up to make the right play or push the tempo with his handle. He is also an aware help defender, who came over with active hands to strip the ball from his opponents on their way up.
Derrick Brown Derrick Brown 5'8" | PG Bowie | 2025 TX 2025 5’9 Mansfield Summit High School
Derrick is an aware combo guard who can get it done with his scoring ability or his creation for his teammates. He can calmly score across all three levels, and loves pulling up from deep to show off his ability to stretch the floor, but is aware enough to use pump fakes on the perimeter and get defenders to fly by him. Where he really stood out to me was his ability to put just the right amount of touches on his passes to find cutting teammates. His ability to constantly create opportunities for his teammates in the full court and the half court allowed them to quickly get shots up, but also made easy looks for them to find. He has complete point guard like control to the game and thrives at picking apart the defense, at times by simply manipulating them with his eyes. His scoring ability allows him to play on or off the ball and find success in any way he wants.
Macaulin Rollison 2025 5’10 Sulphur Springs High School, TX (Dream Leaders Elite 2025)
Macaulin is a high level athlete, yet more importantly in today’s day in age- a sharp shooter. He constantly makes defenses pay for relaxed coverage on the perimeter, calmly knocking down shot after shot from anywhere around the arc. He is a real threat to score off the bounce from all three levels of the floor at any given moment. He showed an ability to stretch the floor and force the defense to respect him almost as soon as he crosses half court with the way he shoots the basketball. He is great at using his handle to create space and enough separation to quickly get his shot off. I was very impressed at his ability to score off the dribble in bunches, his consistent shot making brought his team back into a tight game during the first night of the tournament. He is not just a shooter however, he is crafty in the lane and showed an ability to evade contact and hang in the air to finish at the rim. He showed off his shooting touch in the paint and midrange with soft floaters over bigger competition
