RSL Academy has some hoopers on the squad that have some sure fire next level talent and a lot of players got to play and score the ball in game 1. Here is the breakdown
While many were surprised that a state champion like Lyman would join the RSL Academy squad it soon turned into how he would fit on the tam and tody he showed that he was going to be a force and play with a relentless motor. Lyman led all scorers and he was impressive as he looks to build chemistry with his new team and get things going as their schedule will get a lot tougher here shortly.
JJ was quick to get things started as he showcases why he is such a sought out young PG. He is quick yet he controls the tempo and he can score from all over. Most impressive lead guard out there on the floor.
Highlights
Excited to see this hooper progress as he has good size for a freshman and he did some good things. Tough first game as RSL is loaded with talent at the guard position but the future is bright for this young hooper.
Players to Mention
Brooks Dalton || Piute High School
Brooks had himself a first game as he started off the top scoring with a 21 point performance. He dominant in the win.
Wade Stilson || Emery High School
The 6’3 G had his was to open up the season as he had a soldi 12 points but he also dished out 7 assist in a big high scoring game for his team. With his size at the guard position we expect Wade to really turn things up this season. He is a good Class of 2024 prospect that has small school next level ability.
Justin Gillman || Union High School
Justin displayed that high motor game as he scored in double digits but also ripped down 10 boards as he put up a good double-double. That energy is something that can continue to provide his team with great minutes and also help himself be a player to watch in the Class of 2023 that is off the radar at a small rural school.
Kome Ocwar || APA West Valley
Big time game to start things off as the young 2024 prospect put up 28 points
Tucker Chappell || Panguitch
The lead guard is a great athlete that can score the ball. He is all over the floor and he is going to be a top tier scorer in the small school division.
