With the Wisconsin high school basketball season quickly approaching, Prep Hoops Wisconsin takes a look at five under-the-radar senior prospects:

[player_tooltip player_id='1349129' first='Nic' last='Williams'] -- PG -- La Crosse Central

I really like the upside that Williams possesses. The La Crosse Central point guard played some tremendous basketball this past summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit, and I don't even think that he has reached his full potential. With the ball in his hands, Williams is capable of taking games over. He stands at 6-foot-3 and has plenty of skill and athleticism to go along with his size. The PG is capable of drilling outside shots, knocking down tough mid-range pullups, and getting to the rim and finishing. He has also proved to be an elite passer who plays the game with a very high-IQ. Williams has already gained some interest from college programs, and I expect for Division Two schools to make Williams a priority by the end of this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012672' first='Will' last='Starks'] -- SF -- Kenosha Tremper

Over the last three summers, Starks became a veteran of the Prep Hoops Circuit. Playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2078838' first='World' last='Hoops Elite'] over the course of his AAU career, the small forward became one of the most consistent players in Wisconsin. When Starks laces up his shoes, you know what you are going to get. The Kenosha Tremper standout rebounds well, plays extremely tough defense, and is elite as a slasher. The SF is one of the better pure athletes in the state. He does an incredible job of using his size, strength, and bounce to knife into the paint and finish layups. I still don't think Starks is a finished product, either. If he can continue to improve his game and round out his skill set, the sky is the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1397864' first='AJ' last='Uttech'] -- PG -- Columbus

Uttech's shot-making ability is truly unrivaled. No shot that Uttech takes is a bad shot. It doesn't matter how closely contested the point guard is, when he throws up a shot, there is a very good chance that it is going to fall. From range, Uttech just knows how to get to his spots. He does an incredible job of using his slick handles to get opposing defenders off balance and out of position. And once he sees an inch of space, it is typically too late for a defender to recover. Around the bucket, Uttech is also extremely dangerous. He is a sneaky good athlete and very strong. Contact around the rim doesn't bother him, as he often finishes through it with no problem. At the college level, Uttech is going to be capable of tallying up some huge scoring numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1139642' first='Vincent' last='Vandervest'] -- SF -- Bay Port

Vandervest is an extremely unique prospect. You don't see too many top-tier athletes that bring as much effort and intensity on both ends of the court like Vandervest does. The small forward can throw down a massive dunk on one end of the court and then dive for a loose ball on the other. On the offensive end of the court, the small forward prefers to accomplish most of his work around the rim. He is very good at finding unique ways to get layups to fall. He is capable of knocking down outside shots, but he doesn't shoot them with great volume. I would suggest college programs get on Vandervest before it is too late.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260992' first='Darius' last='Chestnut'] -- SG -- Sun Prairie West

Because he didn't play for a big-name AAU program like many of his peers, I think that Chestnut has gotten overlooked. The Sun Prairie West shooting guard has all of the physical tools necessary for success. He is big, strong, athletic, and fast. On the offensive end of the court, he has a tight handle and does a good job of attacking the rim as a slasher. Chestnut's game does have some rough edges, but it would be a massive mistake for college coaches to overlook the shooting guard.
