<p>The Firelands Conference produced some of the better teams in NW Ohio in South Central and Western Reserve and could produce some similar results in 2023. Expect some great basketball throughout the year and a nice battle at the top of the conference.</p>

<ol><li><strong><em>Monroeville</em></strong>- The Eagles were the 2nd best team in the conference a year ago and make a serious case to be one of the best teams this year. While they will miss the production from Isaac Roeder, seniors <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1168209' first='Aidan' last='Goodwin']</strong> and <strong>Jimmy Clingman</strong> provide the much needed experience and guard play to take an outright title this year.</li><li><strong><em>Crestview</em></strong>- The Cougars were competitive last year and return most of their production from last season. <strong>Owen Barker</strong> (Sr) is one of the leaders of this group and was All-District last year. <strong>Heath Kash</strong> (Sr) and <strong>Jarek Ringler</strong> (Jr) both return.</li><li><strong><em>South Central</em></strong>- The Trojans were District Runner-Ups last year and bring back <strong>Isaac Blair</strong> (Sr) from that team. Could battle for the conference crown.</li><li>Western Reserve was the top team a year ago, but graduate everyone from that District Runner-Up team. They've shown they can be competitive previously, but will need some newer names to step up. Mapleton and St. Paul don't bring back much production altogether, and New London and Plymouth will look for new names to lead them into the new season.</li></ol>
