It's early in the season, and teams haven't fully fleshed out their pecking order. This allows certain players a little more wiggle in the offense to show off their skills. I spent the day at Wildwood High School to find each team's top unsigned prospect.

Wildwood

The Wildcats make this a hard choice with their underclassman backcourt. Adyn Corbin grew several inches over the summer and continues to shoot the ball well off the bounce, get to the rim, and control the game. Freshman Demetrice McRay gets the nod here because his athleticism, build, defensive awareness, and flashes of shotmaking make him an interesting prospect to tab.

Forest

[player_tooltip player_id='1055768' first='X'Zavion' last='McCoy']

McCoy has next-level pace and control of the game. He initiates the off the minute he gets to the ball anywhere on the court. He gets deep in the paint, scores at all three levels, and finds teammates as he bends defense.

Archbishop McCarthy

[player_tooltip player_id='2197801' first='Andre' last='Guerrier']

Guerrier is an athletic 6'5 wing that can score off the ball and as a slasher. The 2024 prospect crashes the offensive boards for putbacks, can make defensive plays and finishes well at the rim.

West Port

Demetrius Brown

Brown combines athleticism and three-level shotmaking in a fast-paced offense. He led his team in scoring by hitting threes off the catch, midrange pull ups, and attacking downhill to finish through contact.

Lake Weir

[player_tooltip player_id='1436022' first='Jordan' last='Gimenez']

Gimenez is having the best scoring season of his career at 22 a game. He's a high-volume scorer that can knock down shots off the screen. The senior can get hot from deep, the midrange, and went 6-8 from the free throw line in a clutch performance.

Southridge

[player_tooltip player_id='962510' first='Anthoney' last='Dozier']

Dozier plays much bigger than his 6'1 size. He plays with a high motor, above the rim athleticism, creative off and on ball play. The senior plays hard and constantly makes plays on the offensive end with his ability to put pressure on the rim.

Lake Howell

[player_tooltip player_id='1348647' first='Kesean' last='Lowe']

Lowe is a scoring guard with natural point guard instincts. His quickness gets him deep in the paint. His mid-range pull up is consistent, and he can hit threes off the catch. The 2023 prospect can attack passing lanes on defense and draw fouls on drives.

Armwood

Jabory Nelson

Nelson played both forward positions at 6'5. He can score out of the post, get downhill from the wing, and hit midrange shots. The 2024 prospect rebounds well, can finish with both hands, and has the length to affect offenses.
