Zion Paleo
Zion Paleo
Zion Paleo completely commanded the pace and tempo of the game Monday night in a dominant wire-to-wire win over San Juan Hills. This was evident early as Paleo was able to move San Juan’s 2-3 zone wherever he wanted to to the tune of a 12-1 start and Orange Lutheran never looked back. Zion particularly excelled tonight after a made basket, hitting 3 different full-court hit ahead passes to his big men for layups. These passes demonstrated the vision and quick thinking that will only continue to develop and make him a more complete player. Paleo finished with 9 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds.
Cannon Potter Cannon Potter 6’7″ | SF Orange Lutheran | 2023 State CA-S continued his very strong start to his senior campaign on Monday night. Potter started off quickly in this one hurting San Juan Hills early and often with a mix of threes and 1-dribble pull-ups that the defense had no answer for. Cannon exhibited his ability to both draw and finish through contact by getting to the line 6 times and making 5 of those opportunities. Potter finished with 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 3’s made.
Andrew Nagy
Andrew Nagy
Andrew Nagy put on a strong performance Monday night with 17 points, 8 rebounds. and 1 block. Nagy showed off his versatility in this one by scoring with his back to the basket on post touches as well as running the floor early (including very effectively on made baskets) and sealing off his defender.
Jake Hall Jake Hall 6’2″ | SG Carlsbad | 2025 State #336 Nation CA-S is a talented combo guard that never seems to be sped up or hurried for Carlsbad. Coming off winning the MVP of the Thanksgiving Classic at Mission Bay, Hall stayed hot on Monday night showing off his range as well as his good vision and playmaking ability. Not the quickest or most athletic player on the court, Hall is very adept at getting to his spot on the floor and using moves like reverse layups to keep big men from blocking his shots in the paint. Hall had 28 points in a victory over Saint Joseph Academy.
