The word athlete has a different connotation than it did in previous years, as now it is more about a player’s R&J ability. In the past, an athlete was a player that was good at all sports. In this article, we take a look at some of the state’s top two-sport athletes.
The rugged forward is one of the top QB’s in the state, having thrown for nearly 5000 yards and 50 touchdowns in his career.
The powerful forward, is a powerful runner, who scored 10 touchdowns this season.
Washington is a talented freshman that has already made his mark on the football field, playing receiver and defensive back.
The sharpshooting guard is also a gunslinging QB for LMCA.
Goose is a physical inside presence on the basketball court. He uses the same physicality on the gridiron, while playing in the defensive backfield.
The high jumping Volleyball stud is also one of the top big men in 4A.
Hannig who has played basketball at Meadows and Palo Verde, is one of the state’s best receivers, having gained over 1000 yards for Lincoln County.
Durham is a contributor for Faith Lutheran on the hardwood, and the diamond. He blasted 8 hr’s last year for the Crusaders.
