[player_tooltip player_id='1217922' first='Luke' last='Coughran'] 2024 6'2 Katy Tompkins High School

Luke is a special scorer from beyond the arc, who has a lot of Klay Thompson in his game. For most kids that is a dream, but Coughran is the truth. He does not need any dribbles to get his shot off, and is a sniper if you allow him even a split second to set his feet. He is a knock down shooter who displayed some of the best consistency I have seen by a kid his age. If you allow this kid to get in rhythm he will knock down 6+ threes on any given night. He is a calm shooter, even with a defender in his grill. The aspect of his shot that really impressed me was how every shot looked exactly the same, off the catch or even as he is attacking in the full court with a live dribble. Simply put, he is an incredibly tough shot maker across all three levels of the floor. Coughran possesses great arm length which allows him to finish at the rim with ease. His consistency in the paint was very impressive, even against strong defenders. He has great off ball awareness and is great at flashing to the high post or cutting to the basket to give his team a passing option and put pressure on the middle of the defense. You can tell he sees the floor at a very high level, allowing him to affect the game on and off the ball.He made waves this summer in the EYBL circuit, and I am sure is going to bring that same energy to Tompkins this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354703' first='Jensen' last='Knowles'] 2024 6'3 Richardson High School

Jensen is the prototypical 3 and D shooting guard, primed for the next level. He effortlessly scores off the catch, and is versatile enough to score off the bounce. was very impressed with his ability to create space off the dribble, as well as his consistent off ball movement. He worked the baseline for open shots in the corners and flashed to the front of the rim for easy looks in the paint. More importantly, he is a lock down defender who is willing and able to defend multiple positions. He can realistically defend 1-3 at the next level, but now is willing to take on 1-4! His versatility on the defensive end of the floor allowed him to wreak havoc on the perimeter, and even protect the rim when necessary. He consistently moves his feet at a very high level and knows how to come up with steals and lives on the fast break.

Ahmad Abualneel 2024 6'4 Plano East High School

Ahmad is a high level scorer who can fill it up at a moment's notice. He is great at understanding momentum and how to use his opponent's against them. He constantly shifts his defender with his handle and then confidently rises up in their face. He is great at using his frame to get into the defense and finish with a soft touch displaying a floater and runner, as well as a nice one to two dribble pull up. Abualneel is a very confident player with the ball in his hands who willingly hunts for his shot across all three levels of the floor.. His scoring prowess forced the defense to focus on him, and he calmly made the right decisions and created offense for his teammates. I was very impressed with his all around feel for the game and his ability to play on or off the ball depending on the situation.

Declan Keeffe 2024 6'4 New Braunfels High School

Declan has really developed as a prospect this summer, and its really due to the work that he is showing on the defensive side of the ball, but also how well he can consistently score from the perimeter! He is an absolute lock down defender on the perimeter, moving his feet to defend smaller and quicker guards, or using his length to effect bigger wings down low. He has the ability to play big if necessary and defend multiple positions. On the offensive end of the court he is a comfortable scorer in the corners and can quickly get his shot up to punish the defense for a weak closeout. I loved how willing he was to fight on the offensive glass, getting multiple boards and tip ins for his teammates but also tipping the ball out to his teammates on the outside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1295835' first='Jakari' last='Davis'] 2024 6'2 Shallowater High School

Jakari is an aggressive shooting guard who loves to punish you at the rim, using his intensity to finish over anyone and fly around the court. He seems to have a non stop motor, allowing him to go up and down the court, diving after loose balls and pushing the tempo for his team. His versatility on the defensive end is evident through the effort that he displays. He strikes fear into some guys hearts with how hard he picks up. I loved how well he was able to play with his own pace with a live dribble, changing his speeds to keep them off balance on his way to the rim. He is the ideal slasher at the two guard spot, and makes a mark on the game with how hard he plays. His aggressiveness should carry him to the next level, he is willing to fight and get on the floor for loose balls but also scrap on defense and get to the basket at a moment;s notice.
