Duce Jackson Duce Jackson 6'6" | SF Collegium Charter | 2023 State PA – 6’6″ / Senior / Collegium Charter / 610 City Gold / Small Forward: Jackson (14 ppg. & 8 rpg.) caught our eye after he posted a regular season 30-spot and then a 20-point performance in the Distric1-4A championship game win by CC. He followed up the winter season with outstanding play at Philly HS Live and again on the July circuit. Jackson (pic above) is a long, physical, and athletic prospect who can shoot threes, operate in the mid-range and bang in the paint. His versatility, soft touch and deep scoring bag make him extremely difficult to guard.
Nathan Lapp – 6’0” / Senior / Dock Mennonite / Perkasie Knights / Point Guard: It will be difficult for Lapp to top last year — undefeated regular season (14-0); 20 wins overall; high scoring efforts of 29 & 28 points; and 1st Team All-BAL selection. But this unique guard is going to try. Like all high-level PGs, Lapp uses the dribble to get to his mid-range spots or all the way to the cup. Plus, he shoots threes at a nice clip. Still, what separates Lapp from the pack is his rebounding. Lapp is a beast on the glass, which resulted in several double-doubles last year. Lapp is a Millersville baseball commit, but he should consider being a two sport athlete.
Cooper Shivers – 5’11″ / Senior / Church Farm School / Delaware Ignite / Combo Guard: 2021-22 standout Kazembe Okera-Anglin graduated, and rising star Matt Sullivan transferred. That means Shivers will be the No. 1 option at CFS in 2022-23. This high IQ and skilled scoring guard (15 ppg. last season) is ready for that role. Shivers (2nd Team All-League in 2021-22) owns elusive, but never out of control handles. He drains spot up and off the dribble threes at a high clip (37%). Once Shivers has drained several triples, he will execute a pump fake and then use a few bounces to get to the rim where he is a creative finisher.
Jack Swider Jack Swider 6'5" | SF Phil Mont Christian Academy | 2023 State PA – 6’5″ / Senior / Phil Mont Christian Academy / Pro Skills Philly / Wing: Swider posted a solid junior season (12.8 ppg. and 6 rpg.) thanks to his elite three-point shooting. His high IQ and feel for the game enable Swider to expertly use screen action for clean looks. This summer Swider unleashed upgraded dribble drive skills and a lethal stop and pop game. We predict that trifecta of skills will produce a monster 2022-23 for Swider in which his scoring average sees a significant uptick. That will thrust Swider into the POY conversation and grab the attention of college coaches.
Dinero Washington – 5’11” / Senior / Collegium Charter / 610 City / Point Guard: This slasher style guard is difficult to stay in front of. Washington (18 ppg. & 4 apg.; 45% on 3s; 1,200+ points in career) uses his electric handles and change of pace abilities to dice up opponents. Once Washington is past his defender, he will unleash floaters as well as pull up Js off the glass. But Washington is more than just a dribble-drive threat. If he is left open along the arc, Washington will knock down treys all game. Despite all these scoring abilities, Washington is unselfish and willingly distributes to open teammates.
