For the rest of this week, we will take a look at each individual roster, breaking down this huge crop of talent from around the Pacific Northwest, player-by-player.
Here’s a look at Team Ten:
Ian Prictor Ian Prictor 6'8" | PF Mountain View | 2024 State OR (2024 Mountain View)
Each time we have seen Prictor play this off-season he’s improved and the Expo was no exception. The 6-foot-6 big man finished plays consistently inside, hit the boards hard, and ran the floor well. He’s primed to take over for big brother Ian this season at Mountain View.
Asher Vredenburg Asher Vredenburg 5'11" | CG Roseburg | 2024 State OR (2024 Roseburg)
An all-around guard, Vredenberg played solid team basketball in the action he saw. He hustled hard, took good care of the basketball and kept it moving, and put forth some good effort on the defensive end.
Elijah Smith Elijah Smith 6'0" | CG Grant | 2024 State OR (2024 Grant)
Smith displayed at the event the ability to score from multiple spots on the floor. He hit open shots, was able to create off the dribble, and really finish in transition. The junior showed a willingness to get dirty on defense as well.
Ethan Chiong Ethan Chiong 5'8" | PG Westside Christian | 2023 State OR (2023 Westside Christian)
While he may have been one of the smaller guys at the event, there was no doubt Chiong could hang with anyone. He was quick to the hole to create for himself and for others, and had a number of nice drive-and-dish plays for easy scores. The Tualatin transfer proved he could hit open jumpers as well. He earned a mention on our “Top Passers” team.
Joey Banry Joey Banry 5'9" | PG North Eugene | 2024 State OR (2024 North Eugene)
Arguably the top point guard in the Class of 2024 in the Eugene area, Banry showed out at the Expo in particular with his passing – earning him a nod on our “Top Passers” team. He was quick off the dribble, created space well, and unselfishly dished the rock to teammates for scores.
Kento Breyfogle (2024 Grant)
Every team needs a quality glue guy and Breyfogle was that for Team 10. The 6-foot-3 junior was all over the court on both ends, scrambling for boards and loose balls while bringing plenty of energy on the defensive end.
Redding Longaker (2023 Benson)
Longaker made a number of hustle plays whenever he was in the game. The 6-foot-4 forward really made an effort to get on the boards and on the offensive side of the ball, stepped out and knocked down some open threes. His versatile play earned him a spot on our “Top All-Around” team.
Jaden Steppe Jaden Steppe 6'8" | SF Tualatin | 2024 State #289 Nation OR (2024 Tualatin)
Steppe was one of the top performers at the Expo, earning a nod on our “All Event” team. The 6-foot-7 wing was dominant offensively both down low and facing the basket, but what also stood out was his passing ability as he dished out some impressive dimes both in the halfcourt and transition settings.
Max Elmgren Max Elmgren 6'0" | CG Beaverton | 2024 State OR (2024 Beaverton)
One of the top shooters at the event, Elmgren was named to our “All Shooters” squad. The junior lefty is a deadeye off the catch-and-shoot but is equally dangerous shooting off the move and was also good at getting to the basket and scoring.
